COVendHut
Hello All - I recently picked up an UltraFlex AP6500 Combo machine. I've cleared up all of the issues with it other than the drop sensor. I was just going to swap in an InOne board and move on, but Arnie just confirmed that they don't support this model. So, I'm left with troubleshooting what I have. Other than the red LED on the hinge side, is there any other methods to verify functionality? The LED is on constant. Does it flash or change state at any time under normal operation (like when a product drops through the beams)? I've checked both harnesses and they test out good. I'm waiting for access to CPI Technical Library, hoping that there is a troubleshooting guide or additional information there, but in the meantime I was hoping someone here has had experience with these sensors? AZVendor
Did you try erasing the error and waiting to see if it returned? That is just a warning (WARN) not a fatal error. It WARN was BAD instead, then you would have a fatal GE error. I think it's indicating that selection 102 was either double vended or not vended at all. Probably a product that hung up. COVendHut
I factory reset the machine, setup several items and configured GE on those selections. Every vend gives the WARN error regardless of whether a product drops. , and after I think 2 or 3 WARNs on a selection, it marks it as sold out. I will try a new ribbon cable, then if that doesn't work just a new pair of transmit/receive boards. I wish I had a camera that could see IR, so then I could at least know that the transmitters are working.
AZVendor
Or you can just turn GE off. AP never perfected it so you can expect other issues down the road.
COVendHut
I try to stick with AMS, but I found this AP combo machine for a great deal. When I bought it I just assumed that there were issues with it and I was going to do a board swap on it anyway, but apparently this is a variant that's not supported by InOne. My mistake for assuming it was an AP 6000. I'll probably just turn it off for now. Now I just need to get the year old burrito and hot pocket stench out of the cabinet. I was thinking about using an ozone generator to neutralize the smell, as it's difficult to work on it for more than a few minutes at a time. How anyone could have a fully stocked machine sitting in their garage unplugged for over a year is beyond me.

Your a much stronger soul than I am. If it were me that thing woulda gotten the board, mech, and validator yanked, refrigerant recovered, then straight into the loving embrace of a scrapyard claw. In all honesty though that might be the source of your GoldenEye errors. Check to see if the boards have goop or insects on them blocking the path or corroding the electronics. Btw, I don’t think your ever going to fully remove that smell. Decomposition is one of the toughest odors to remove. There was that one Mythbusters episode where they left a rotting pig carcass in a car for a few months. Even after stripping the interior to bare metal and pressure washing they never fully got the odor out. Yes, a Hot Pocket isn’t a pig carcass but it’s still meat, and the cabinet has plenty of nooks and crannies and insulation to hold on to the smell forever. Last thing you want is to lose a location because your machine smells like death.
COVendHut
I'm going to give it a college try before I relegate it to the scrapyard. Surprisingly, all of the decomposition was isolated to just a single tray. The rest of the interior is dusty, but clean otherwise. No indications of any inhabitants, current or past. You do bring up a good point about the control board, though. I will pull it and look at the traces and components for any issues. It's worth it to me to attempt to clean it up. I don't have any combo units yet. Availability of machines is an issue in my area. I picked this unit up because it natively has MDB, DEX and guaranteed vend sensors. So, I guess the deciding factor is if I can get rid of this smell. I haven't cleaned the tray yet, because I got sidetracked with this sensor issue. AZVendor
It's like when people decide to sell laundry detergent out of a machine in a hotel. That smell, though not like death, will never come out of a machine, even years later.
