used Eport from other vendor...... what to do with them?

I bought about a dozen used machines with Eport on them.  The original owner owed a bunch of people money and left town not to be seen or heard again.  I called Cantaloupe and they said without the previous owner consent, they cannot transfer those devices to me.  My option right now is just to buy new telemeters ($189 per) but didn't know if there was other options or what to do with the old ones.  Thanks

Sometimes NAYAX will offer trade in credit for competitor devices.

I agree with tblake, that's a great option that gets you collecting within a week.  Just be glad they weren't Nayax because you would have put in the transfer request and 6-8 weeks later they would have denied it, wasting two months of your time.

Oddly enough, I just installed two new nayax vpos touch devices and they were registered to my account the same day the package arrived to my door. Installed them and they worked perfect out of the box. Just like 5 years ago (pre Covid) when people had to work for a living

Oh, gotcha.  I never go that route because they either don't work or can't be registered.  Plus the added onboarding charge makes it almost equal the same price of new.
