Amaanjan
What’s up everyone, I have a Genesis 127/137 and unfortunately I found out these machines suck after I purchased. I just got the cooling to work for the drinks but none of the motors weren’t working, the chips up top were fine though and the motors worked no problem. I saw some of the wires in the back of the machine have been chewed on by mice most likely and spliced them together. After I finished I tried it out and the bottom start’s vending, HOWEVER… all of a sudden ALL of the motors aren’t responding to any of the vending selections. The bottom and top. Not sure what could’ve gone wrong, it was working fine and out of nowhere it’s not working, anytime I put a selection it says “ERROR”, any suggestions?? Thanks! 🥲
tblake05
What happens when you test vend a motor through the control board?
Amaanjan
Nothing, doesn’t move at all.
AZVendor
Check all of those chewed wires again and look for any others. It sounds like one is shorted out. But really, Genesis machines belong in scrapyards.
Amaanjan
I know 😭😭 I hate this machine. Is there any way for me to use a multimeter to see which one is bad? I can put on end on the end of the connector but don’t know where I would put the other end
AZVendor
Put it on Ohms and check for continuity from each pinout to ground. A beep indicates it's grounded. None of them should be as the motor harness is "probably" a logic level pinout with no real grounded wire.
Amaanjan
So I’m looking to hear no beep?
tblake05
Without a schematic, good luck.
AZVendor
If you hear no beep from pinout to ground then that wire is not shorted to ground. If you do hear a beep then that wire IS shorted to ground. No beep could also be an open wire so don't assume all wires are good. At that point then you'll have to ohm the wires end to end where a beep is a good wire and no beep is an open wire. tblake05
Me guess is the motor board. As the chewed up wires on the back would only control the bottom soda portion. The upper snack motors should still work.
