Bblack2626
I recently bought an AP LCM 3 snack machine, and I just installed my card reader. However, the prices were being weird, so I tried to zero everything out and then reset each price by row, but now my prices aren’t saving despite saying the contrary on screen. Any ideas? Also, I zeroed out the prices because of the first row displaying 2 prices like this: “A1 1.25 Csh 1.50”
AZVendor
Disconnect the card reader and see if it clears up. That logic board will require the latest eprom available, whatever that is, and you will still not have cash or DEX reporting because the board is too old. LCMs don't play nice with newer technology. Bblack2626
@AZVendor Well the guy I bought it from had almost the same card reader hooked up to it. His worked great, and even tested it all in front of me. Could it be another issue or another solution?
AZVendor
Reading your post again I see that you have two tier pricing turned on. Turn it off in the card reader and then you'll only see one price.
Bblack2626
@AZVendor So if I make card, for example, $1.10 and cash $1, will it have to say both prices on that display?
AngryChris
It sounds like you have an aftermarket board. You should turn two tier price to 99.95 on all selections to disable it. Then your prices should be good.
Bblack2626
@AngryChris Holy cow that worked!! Thank you!
Bblack2626
@AZVendor @AngryChris However, I just hooked up my card reader to the bill acceptor, and I think my coin mechanism might’ve shorted out. The red LED for the coin dispenser is no longer on, but the bill acceptor is working. Is that coin mech fried? I didn’t think I ever disconnected it while the machine was on, but maybe when I didn’t have the card reader hooked up correctly it shorted out the coin mechanism? AZVendor
This must be your first card reader. They ALWAYS have to be plugged in the machine first and then the bill acceptor plugs into the card reader and the coin mech plugs into the bill acceptor. You also need to plug the antenna into the card reader before you power it up. This is all done with the power OFF. Sorry, fixed my second sentence.
