thebigguy
What should I buy to upgrade the eprom on my dn2145? Trying to put a card reader in there but it is hard to find solid, reliable info to what I actually will need.
thebigguy
This is the eprom currently on my board.
AZVendor
We need a full photo of your logic board. The earlier ones can't be upgraded.

AZVendor
Okay, you need version 30.81.

I've also read online if I update the eprom I will need a new bill, coin, and display. Is that true?
AZVendor
Only if you don't have MDB parts in it now. What coin mech and validator do you have?

AZVendor
What is the model of coin mech? If it's a 9302GX you're good. If not then yes, you need to change them and add a MDB harness to the machine.

AZVendor
Then you'll need both an MDB coin mech and bill acceptor to switch to cards along with the Bevmax MDB cable that you don't have.
thebigguy
Damn, well I guess I am in it now. Unfortunately I don't have really any good options other than to upgrade everything on this thing and roll with it. Thank you for all the help. I am going to purchase a Coinco 9302GX, Coinco BA 30B, 30.81 eprom, & the bevmax mdb cable. Do you think that I will likely have to update my display as well? I am not really sure what I am looking for when you say the bevmax mdb cable. Could you or anyone else point me in the right direction (other than the landfill w/ this thing)? Again thank you for all the help.
AZVendor
Call D&S Vending and tell them you need an MDB harness for a Bevmax 5591. You'll also want to put a 24v Mars VN2500 validator in it, not a Coinco BA30. You'll be better off that way.
thebigguy
Looks like this board just will not work for mdb, cant get a harness. Is it possible to just swap out this board with a 5591 and have it working proper?
AZVendor
If you upgrade the board then you need a new display as well. Let's start by asking what your gates look like. If they are short with wire pushers on top then the machine is junk.
