SnackShop 500 FREE VEND

Howdy all. First time post, long time scroller. I recently got a Snackshop 500 and it’s been awesome in the theater room for the last year. My little brother came over and somehow broke it. Now every selection is free without any money required. The Coinco multi price mech still takes money and doesn’t stop taking money once price is satisfied. The bill acceptor also accepts unlimited money. The changer does not give change when the plunger is pressed. All motors are homing correctly and I’m freakin stumped. I’ll be active on this post and thank everyone for any advice.

I think I have it narrowed down to a coin mech issue. When I unplug the mech, the machine acts normally and doesn’t vend for free. When I put a dollar into the BA, it accepts and I hear the credits click but doesn’t vend. Plug the coin mech back in and same free vend issue. I’d like for someone to at least help me confirm before I buy a new mech.

Are you unplugging the bill acceptor interface and plugging the coin mech in directly to the machine?  If that solves the issue then it's the Lutech kit causing the issue.  D&S Vending could then maybe fix it.  They also used to have a Lutech 2000-M logic board kit that replaced all of the multiprice stuff with the board and then allowed a normal logic coin mech and bill acceptor to be installed.

Goodness I'm beyond thankful that I got your attention. Your help on the other related Snackshop posts claimed you have a good idea about these monsters. 

Yes, I've completely unplugged the BA and had the mech alone plugged in as that's originally what I thought it was. The machine still takes unlimited money and still free vends. 

Is there some type of vend/credit satisfied relay that could be stuck? The mech is taking unlimited credits but not giving change either if I request change or make a selection after inserting too much credit.
