Paul335
Hello everyone, I have bought a snack machine. I'm from Germany, so please excuse my not very good English. The vending machine is the LCM1 from AP. Unfortunately, it is no longer fully functional. One of my first problems is that I can't set the prices. I get to the service menu and can select all the other options there, but if I want to go to the price setting via button 4, nothing happens. Does anyone know of this or a similar problem and can help me? Thank you very much! Paul Edited November 6 by Paul335
cvending
Are you sure the 4 button is functional? Press it while I’m ready mode and see it 4 is displayed
lacanteen
Does the 4 button work in sales mode? Press D4 or E4 and see if you get the price, if not the keypad is probably bad. Make sure you're in sales mode.
Paul335
Thank you for your answers. When I press any button via the sales mode, the display always shows a 0. However, I can enter any number via the service mode and test vend (No. 5). D4 and E4 are also recognized.
lacanteen
That's a first for me. You stated you are from Germany, Are you still there? I see the Exec mech plug, so I guess you are. I have a box full of those boards from In-One conversions, but shipping costs might be over the top.
cvending
Yoou can try unplugginng the keypad and plugging it back in again a coiuple times to insure a good connection. Be sure to power down before doing so.
Paul335
I connected the coin acceptor via the MDB. Now it seemed to work briefly. I was able to set the prices for a brief moment. However, after switching it on and off briefly, almost nothing worked at all. I was still able to access the service mode. However, I couldn't make any selections there. Not even after I unplugged the MDB again. Have I now completely destroyed the control board? Then I probably won't be able to avoid a new one? Is it more common for these boards to be defective? AZVendor
Well, if you made or broke any connections while the machine was powered up then, yes, you may have blown your logic board, or the coin mech, or the bill acceptor, or the card reader, etc.
vwgo
AP machines are very good machines. Looking at your pic there is no DBV or Coin mech or MDB plugged in. With nothing plugged in it's not going to work correctly. You have to have at least a coin mech plugged in if not the board may only read in dollars. Need to have a good coin mech or tested good coin mech plugged in before power up. Never plug or unplug anything with power on. If you are in Germany not sure it will work at all. Don't you have 220v over there?? Is that machine wired for that?? Then the whole money thing. Not sure the nickel, dime, quarter coin mech will work with foreign money or the DBV won't take your bills either. If your using foreign coin mech and DBV I'm not sure it will talk to the control board the same either.
AZVendor
Top right corner of the board. You can see the executive harness plugged in.
Paul335
The machine was operated via the executive connection. It had been in Germany for some time and had also been converted to 220V. So I know that it should work in theory. Many thanks to lacanteen, who has promised to send me a replacement control board. I hope this will solve the problem. Thanks a lot
