Jlkrumholz01
I believe there should be something riveted to the side saying the model information but I can not find it. I will attach pictures hopefully someone can help me identify what model the machine is.
AZVendor
It's a DN368 if it's 72" in tall or a 440 if it's 79" tall. It's a machine from the late 80's, early 90's. It has an SII logic board.

I know most people say its not worth the money and effort but I like the project among other reasons. Anyway I had my eye on this or this for the snackshop and this for the Dixie Narco. Just want to make sure I don't buy something that will not work.
AZVendor
The second one will work on the soda machine but the first one won't work on the 435. The 435 uses either a 4 price mech, 10 price mech or multi-price mech but the coin mech plugs are gigantic and a MDB convertor won't plug in and there's no conversion for the plug. The machine has always been too old and antiquated for any hope of making it modern. The 435 brings good money at a scrap yard because they are the heaviest of all snack machines. That's about what it's worth. You need to invest in a better machine to make it MDB. As to the MDB on any machine, once you convert to it you have to change the coin mech and bill acceptor to MDB pieces too so it's pretty expensive. AngryChris
I remember when I was about 2 years into vending and I was trying to find every cheap way to invest into old equipment at slow locations to increase sales. Eventually I learned. I cut my losses, invested in better equipment and put that equipment in better locations. Now I'm doing well.
AZVendor
I never operated them beyond about 1995. But I fixed a ton of them for diehards who wouldn't scrap them.
Jlkrumholz01
well $70 to make the Dixie Narco mdb is honestly way less than I was excepting. I see what you mean on the plugs though. There is a 15 pin plug that the coin mech in in but a huge one that the bill validator is in. How much are we talking at a scrap yard.
Jlkrumholz01
I recently got a snackshop 6000 retrofitted with an inone kit and its been going great for me so when I got it I was hoping there would be a similar solution.
