Vendor Vue 40 - PC Board Assembly

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I wanted to see if anyone knew how to take apart the Vendor Vue 40 picker or Z Housing assembly. I need to get to the PC Board to replace it. Any advice would be great. Thank you in advance.

If the unit will power up, put it into Calibration - Software update and the hand will extend,

If no power, I've had the most luck using a long pick to manually turn the magnetic wheel on the zmotor. Rotating that will extend the outer hand exposing the PDC board.

Or you can disassemble it completely by digging in through the signface but putting it back together can be tricky.  Mainly getting all of the harnessing routed properly where it doesn't get pinched.

Hi Mike,

Thank you for all of the info. But I have another issue. I had purchased a pdc board. But I think it may be older then the board I had. It new board semi works the issue is when I do the first purchase vend it goes fine but when I attempt a second purchase vend it just stays in place doesn't go into the ready vend position. So I thought it maybe a eprom issue. So I swapped eprom from a working hand but it says PDC not working can the PDC board be to old to work with my current Vendor Vue 40..?

Mike, who the heck is that company?  I've never heard of them in the vending realm and they claim to have been around since 1920.

Hi Mike,

The VMC firmware is version 1.61. I also have the updated rail. I'm just a little thrown off because I pulled the eprom from a working hand. Put it in the new PDC board and hand and placed it in the same Vendo Vue 40 that was working and the new hand did not work the same as the hand I took the eprom off of. So this is why I figured the PDC board might be to old, could that be the case?
