Just went to Sams today to find the price on MM Peanuts had gone back to 9.12 from the 7.42 price drop which occurred a few weeks ago.  Anyone else experience this?

THanks for your input....Mark

Well, I am really getting sick of this constant MMP price fluctuation.  We need to flood the Sam's Club web site with complaints and let them know how we feel.  Just 3 years ago, I was selling about 200 bags per 60 day cycle.  Now I am at about 70 bags per 60 day cycle. So that is a 65% reduction in inventory for that product due to choices I made in stocking that product.  We also need to communicate when there are sales at other stores and also flood the Sam's Club web site with those special offers from their competitors.  I just wish someone at Sam's Club could give us an explanation as to why this product keeps fluctuating while the others products are more stable.

I may be wrong in saying this but I don't think Sam's is to blame for the fluctuation of prices. It's my educated guess that the reason for the higher prices again is because the fuel prices went up. The manufacturers pass fuel surcharges on to the consumer.

If the Cap & Trade bill gets by the Senate, we will see everything go up. Not just vending items but every day things that are a necessity. I hate to say it but get used to price increases all around. If you think your electric bill is high now, wait!

Thanks lurtsman.  Yes, I bought a bunch more Beavers and have been really busy cleaning up the routes I've purchased.  That's the reason I haven't been on here much.

rnwalhen, I still get the same 54oz bags I have always gotten.

Thanks,

Mark

All of that makes sense, but why is just the MMP moving like a roller coaster?  Gumballs, MI, Skittles and RP have not had this type of wall street fluctuation.

I really don't have a answer for that, Jax. It could be a number of things ranging from their manufacturing process all the way down to the dairy farmers. Except for RPs, they are the only ones that use milk chocolate.

This is why I said it's not Sam's to blame. Protesting against Sam's is the wrong direction. They will just drop the product to avoid the hassel.
