Faith Vending
Going into my first winter (ugh ) with way more toy locations than last. I wondered if sales fall off in fall and winter since kids are back in school etc. etc. Just trying to determine what to expect. Thanks!!

dsimms
LOL! Welcome to Minnesota! I would prefer the south, but the pay is much better up here in the north, maybe thats why the south lost, but at least they are not freezing to death in a blanket of snow and ice. Smiley
on average, your toy sales will go down. probably 30%. certain locations will remain unchanged. rare locations will go up. skating rinks? Like a squirrel, save whatever you make in the nice weather.

Like a squirrel, save whatever you make in the nice weather. Good points Smiley. The holidays are always the worst months for me - candy or toys. But September and October are also on the slow side. I understand that the holidays changes peoples buying habits, but I still don't get exactly what causes the "September-October Blues" in many non-tourist adult accounts. The funny thing is that sales always perk back up in the spring - which here is early February! Jax
Faith Vending
30%... that is ugly My candy locations stay about the same all year... in fact when the cold weather comes people don't take a break outside anymore; go to the breakroom or lunchroom; get bored and then eat. It will be interesting to see what the toy locations do in winter.
Smiley
you can either view it that they go up in the summer or down in the winter. Is the glass half empty or half full?
West Coast Vend LLC
It really depends on the location and where it is located. If your accounts are near the beach or in a tourist town, toys will slow down in the fall/winter. If your location is near a school, and the kids are walking home, it would pick up. For me, I do better when school is open. Most of my accounts are near schools. Because of the type of accounts I have, the holiday season is also a good time for business. Because the majority of my accounts are a video chain, whenever there are good movies to rent, I do great! Gary
