nosebreaker
I think my coinco 9302-L change maker is broken, I seem to have one of those universal plugs in my machine, what type of replacement would you suggest I get? I think I have a USI Snackmate IV (Model 3038 and 3039). The coins just drop into the bucket (even pennies), before I cleaned it they would all be rejected. Technivend
The 3039 I believe has the F80 controller in it. This machine require a 12 pin 24 volt dumb mech. Your options are Coinco 9302L Mars MC5010 Mars TRC6010
nosebreaker
Yes it has a 15-pin plug, but the 12-pin works as well. It is 24V. Do you recommend one over the other for reliability? Thanks very much!
Technivend
My charts do not list a 15 pin coin mech in that machine. They may have used that connector at some point but I do not know if it is wired. It shows a 12 pin 24v mech. The good thing is that all 15 pin is 24 volts as they never made a 15 pin 110v coin mech. As far as reliability. The MC5010 is a very old coin mech and I understand that certain components are starting to be discontinued for support. nosebreaker
FYI - On the back of the 15-pin plug the last row the top and bottom pin is wired to the pins next to it. The middle pin isn't wired to anything. I just bought another 9302-L on eBay, here's hoping it works!
Technivend
Without actually seeing the connector I will venture a guess. It sounds like the 24V power feed is jumped to the 15 pin power as well as the 12 pin. This should allow you to use a Coinco 9302LF or Mars TRC 6010XV as well. DISCLAIMER!! A lot of the manufacturers used a 12 pin 110V coin mech in their machines with a 15 pin connector. This would allow you to use a 110V 12 pin OR a 24V 15 pin coin mech. It is very important to know what voltage coin mech you need when swapping them in a machine. You can blow up coin mechs and control boards by using the wrong voltages. When in doubt ASK or use the same configuration of coin mech you are removing.
