sbishop
When I purchased the full line vending business over a year ago, it came with machines that needed locations. I placed a 3 wide snack machine with a soda satilite in the main entry of a building holding a Bank of America and an insurance office. I replaced the previous vendor who had an anteras machine. I collect about $40 every 2 weeks. About 6 months ago, I noticed a tripple near the door leading into the bank. Over the months, it looked the same. the middle colum had chickle tabs. the other two columns were empty. I never noticed a decrease in the amount of gum, nor could I tell that it had been serviced. After purchasing my vendstar route. I read an ebook that said I should put a bulk machine at every one of my full ine location...So, I did. The only one I did not put a vendstar on was the Bank of America building, because it had a bulk machine. About a month ago, I noticed that the bulk machine was gone. I had one vendstar with the gumball wheel. So, I grabed the machine and filled it with gum balls, cashews, and Pmms. I just checked the location and after 1 month, I pulled $45.75. Here is a pic of the layout http://bishopcollectibles.com/steven/boalayout.bmp The only difference is that I did not have 2 empty columns. I will admit the other machine looked better( I am not fond of my "grey" machines) Over half of the money came from the sale of gumballs. This is now one of my top 10 locations. Go figure! G-man422
sbishop, Its amazing how badly an empty column or two can hurt sales. I noticed at my WalMart location every time the columns got low sales slowed down, so Itried to keep it stocked and looking fresh. Those are great numbers you're pulling at that place. sbishop
I do not know what happened. When I spoke to my contact at the bank about the bulk machine, i said "Hey I noticed that the owner of the candy machine pulled his and I put one of mine it its place. His was always empty. I know you'll be happier with mine." She said "I did not even notice that there was a candy machine."
