joebob051977
I'll tell you right up that these are cheap imports and GMW warehouse is probably making a killing on these machines for the price they charge. The machines in themselves aren't bad machines. They have a plastic ABS body. The machine looks nice. I have the Super Chrome machine, and the chorme looks nice, but I can't say it is real chrome, just chrome colored metal. I haven't had a problem with the coin mechs in the 2 years or so that I've had the machine. I did have the plastic break at the candy chute cover so that the chute door would not stay on, but that was probably due to abuse. But, shouldn't machines be made to handle the abuse of kids (or some adults). The machine is hard to service since there is no coin tray. You have to remove the body and scoop quarters by hand. You can try to leave the body on, but that makes it even harder. The globes are huge which is good if you have a high volume location, but not so good if you have a slightly better than average location.
dpvnc
I bought a 5 head rack of these new in June 2010 nearing mid September no problems. It does take a lot of candy to fill these. The only complaint is that the coin mechs are not as user friendly as the oaks.
jmac
I own a few beavers, and they also will break at the candy chute. This is why I am very interested in getting some metal bodied machines.
dpvnc
Well today had my first problem A completely jammed mechanism. Also witnessed first hand how user unfriendly these mechanisim are. Problem #1 The mech was jammed so tight it would not move forward or back. I had to pry the dog that keeps the mech from turning backwards and then work it back and forth to loosen it. After 10 minutes it broke free. Also it looks like there is supposed to be a clutch in the handle it is not working. Problem # 2 The littler kids have trouble using the machines. The Mechanisms turn too hard and if they change thier mind about what they want they cannot get the quarter out easily.

lakevending
I ordered a couple of these to use as tester machines for some of my sites. I figured I could swap them up into NW/Beaver when I find a good deal on used machines. The chrome on the lid is a little bubbly looking, but not so bad that it looks like my 4 year old painted it. My major issue is the coin mech. It was fine when I just put a quarter in to test it, but after I touched the candy wheel to adjust it, it's crispy and hard to turn. And moving it back to the original setting didn't fix it at all. The mechs on the machines with the gumball wheels are a little hard to turn, but they don't have the same crispy issue. They'll make decent temporary machines until something used FINALLY shows up on CL around here, but I definitely won't be ordering any more. lakevending
They were just a smidgeon over $50 a head. I got 2 double heads with a heavy stand for $139+shipping each. The stand is nice and heavy. I'm almost sorry to put these junky machines on that nice heavy stand.

rdendy
My first machines were also Rhinos, I have 9 of them. I want to eventually work these out of my route or turn them into single GB machines. They look like the Beavers, and they aren't that bad. I got the all metal ones. But I am not fond of the barrel locks and keys. I had one key break off the top metal tooth but it would still unlock and lock the units. I found this out while doing my first service and didn't think much on it since the key was still working. But when I went to do my second service I found out the hard way that when the top tooth is gone the top/bottom teeth spaces don't line up, you need the broken key to turn the lock until they do in order to use a complete key. My second complaint is the mech's, they are clunky and stiff. They also aren't user friendly in providing a clear and easy to use slot for the quarter, not compared to some others. The plus side is they did come with both a GB/1" cap wheel and a candy wheel. Making them easy to change for whatever I need. Compared to the AA I started ordering, these aren't even close in the quality and craftsmanship, and for about the same money.
