sterling
A few weeks ago I got a golden quarter out of one of my machines. It turned out to be a part of a set. Today I got a colored state quarter out of a machine from a set as well. Someone is selling a set of 4 quarters 2003 for 5.99 on e-bay. Should I hold onto my Missouri 2003 colored quarter? BluePlate
Not sure about the colored quarter, I just found my 12th silver quarter since I started vending. You can hear them "clink". My father has a theory, might be good. Do to the bad economy, people are breaking their sets and spending them. Might be a stretch, might be right....... cavity
I've pulled a few silver Q's as well. How much do you suppose they are worth?
BluePlate
They are worth about $3/ea, a roll sells for a solid $100 on eBay
G-man422
Sterling, those are always fun to find. I am a coin collector so it's especially fun for me when I find a unique coin. The colored ones were sold in sets but really arent worth a whole lot ( about $1 or so). I have only found one silver quarter since I started vending and I put it in a special case. mission vending
I had a place that had a lot of kids that came around, I started finding silver quarters and dimes in the change and it went on for a couple of months. Eventually it added up to over $100.00 worth of silver coins. I'm pretty sure some kid spent his dads coin collection on snacks. Betcha he got his butt whipped when all that coin was found to be missing too.
West Coast Vend LLC
I picked a quarter out of my machine last week that I found very interesting. It's a California State quarter 2005. It is silver in color on the front and on the back there is gold inlaid in the picture. The edge of the quarter is also gold. Is this part of a set? Has anyone seen these before? I looked on line and couldn't find anything about them. Gary
