kai1836
Some time ago I dropped some machines off, parts to be exact, at a local body shop to have them repainted. I let everyone know I would tell you how it turned out. Well he said to call back in 3 days and he'd have them done. Now a month later he calls me today and they're done. Well the bill was 450 dollars more than I'd expected! He was charging by the piece not by the machine. This wasn't what we agreed to however since my family has dealings with him I'm going tomorrow to pick them up and pay. This is a warning when dealing with people over bulk related items/work/etc..... Most of the time people don't understand what you're saying to them! This guy nodded his head when I said x amount per machine. So when I showed up with a box of metal panes and parts he just said thanks and took them. I wasn't mistaken I know what he said I just don't think he understood what I was saying. So if you outsource any of your refurb work be careful. antoniocinisi
I wouldn`t pay the guy all that money, you coulda got new machines and no hassle for that much.ask if he can reduce the price since he probably chatged you 50 bucks an hour to do them.I have gotten machines done for 5 bucks each piece be it a lid body or whatever. kai1836
Its a bump in the road, thats all. Just wanted to give a heads up to others so they won't find themselves in similar circumstances. As for this guy, it will end up costing him more than it will cost me thats for sure. Most of the time you are far better to be honest in your business dealings than to try to screw someone for a quick buck. As far as getting it on paper, I could kick myself. I just trusted that since he was a client of my family that he was an honest person......not so.
