Mercury
So.....anyone vend Jelly Beans? I'm thinking about it......maybe if I coated them with Pam, like you do with Hot Tamales, it would work? Merc
reinhagw
I've tried Gourmet Jelly Beans. They're smaller and dispense well, but some people, and most kids, are turned off by the assortment, some are coffee flavored, some licorice. Had to pull them back and eat them myself. But, what's with the Pam deal? You actually spray the Hot Tamales to keep them from sticking together? Doesn't sound too appetizing. jr
joebob051977
Just a very very very light coating of PAM keeps them from sticking. You shouldn't even be able to feel the PAM on them. You use it on Mike and Ikes and other gummy like candies.
Faith Vending
Never had any luck with jelly beans...don't vend them anymore.
bacho
Jelly Beans were a big fat dud for me. I tried both, gourmet and regular and they did not move at all. They don't clump as bad as the M&I and HT but it doesn't hurt to use the PAM on them. M&I move real good for me and IMHO they are just a glorified jelly bean. Go figure. But, what's with the Pam deal? You actually spray the Hot Tamales to keep them from sticking together? Doesn't sound too appetizing. I use a large baggie and turn it inside out. I spay a small shot of PAM on each side, then turn it right side in and fill it with the HT or M&I. Shake it up real good and it coats the candy just enough to prevent clumping. Don't use too much, or it will make them feel greasy. I use the original PAM which is flavorless.
chowchowjailboss
Jelly Beans do not move in the machines I have tried them in. They cost a lot more than M&Is. They are, to me, the same candy.
vendman
I just bought some today to try to have something different. This sure sounds discouraging.
