jsberd
I was just looking at the bag of Pm&ms and I am wondering how many Pm&m make up an ounce. I want to know what should come out during a vend. a bag at Costco that is 56 ounces has 38 servings witch is 1.5 ounces each or 1/4 of a cup. Jax Snacks
You will get many different answers (some even emotionally charged) to that question. Some vendors will say you need to keep cost at 25%, so you can only give about 5 or 6 per vend. Others will say you need to be fair to the customer and also need to be competitive, so 7 to 8 is the proper quantity at about a 38% cost. I personally aim to give 8 per vend in charity locations for a quarter and 11 to 12 per vend in commission spots for 50 cents. PMM is usually the number one seller for most locations and you want to keep customers happy and gravitated to your machine and to also keep competitors at bay. I enjoy going into accounts where there are either no PMM being vended or someone else is vending just 4 or 5. When I see all those quarters in my machine for the PMM, it has to have an effect on the competing machines. Even when competitors match me, I know that I have increased their cost of goods sold and put more pressure on their bottom line. Call it a form of civilized street fighting! Faith Vending
I open my 1800 wheel all the way and always get 6-8 which I think is fair. Some locs complain, some don't. I tell them let's compare my 3 vends to the full line bag of MMP. Usually solves the complaint.

Jax I think between 6-8 is a good number. sometimes 6 comes out, sometimes 8 comes out. I have two machines that sit along side someone elses machines at two locations. I think on my next service, I will open the wheels up more, so people will buy from my machine, we will see how long he lasts...I may also call them next month and see if they would like to sell their machines.
