dperry
A oak panel head for only $199 starting bid with $30 shipping. Such a steal! Or a clueless ebay reseller? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=370257576557
joebob051977
Yep, I've seen a lot of ridiculous prices lately. $300 for a Vendstar in a box. I just saw a craiglist deal (I think in Indy). A person has 30 Vendsars, 13 on location saying you can make $2500 a month when they are all located.

West Coast Vend LLC
I just sent him the same offer. That's a riot. What is he thinking? If it had a lock it would be worth it... Gary
dperry
Yeah, no lock, no stand, and it would be a charge of $39 to ship it to my location. I notice he re-sells lots of other stuff. wonder how much he is overcharging for those too?
whaletail116
That would be silly.
joebob051977
He no longer takes $5 offers, so I offered him $6. I hope he doesn't accept it. I dont' want to have to repaint it.
Jax Snacks
Wow! You guys are redefining low-balling! But that is the capitalistic system! The seller had a "right" to ask for any price he wants and the buyer has a "right" to refuse it or to simply tell the seller to "go pound salt"! Darwinism works efficiently with "stupid" sellers AND buyers - unless the government steps in! Jax
lurtsman
I was going to offer 6$, but with his 30$ shipping I feel I would be significantly overpaying if he did accept. I wish I could make my offer include what I would offer for shipping. Can we offer non-cash items? Maybe I could offer him a branch in trade? There's a 50$ shipping and HANDLING fee for the branch though.
MrEen
I assume you cannot offer a negative dollar amount. The guy is in Canada so it probably has a mech that only takes Canadian quarters. There's another expense for the winning bidder (US bidders, at least.) Scott
cavity
I bid as well. We must be driving this guy crazy! All these super low bids for @ $5, he's got to be wondering what the hell is going on...

Jax Snacks
Do I hear $7.50??? Be carefull getting a Canadian riled up, he may slash or high-stick you with his hockey stick! That would be a 5 minute major since he probably will draw some some blood - a big fan favorite at any game! Jax
davidsurvz
I sent him an email asking if he'd take $5.00 for it if no one buys it.
joebob051977
You never know. A sucker is born every minute. We are still allowed to be capitalist (at least for now). I saw some bid $125 on a used Vendstar (certainly no one here or they wouldn't admit it). I suppose that's a good deal if you are used to spending $350 for them. dperry
Here's another clueless ebay seller. A customized NWS60 with a glass globe going for a mere $195. And it takes nickels too. http://cgi.ebay.com/Vintage-FAMOUS-MONSTERS-Button-vending-machine-60s_W0QQitemZ130334609878QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item1e588c51d6&_trksid=p3286.c0.m14 So Imma gonna doll up some machines and make them look retro and try to resell them on ebay for 4 times what they are worth. joebob051977
Frankly, I'm sick and tired of seeing all the themed Oak Acorns on Ebay. We aren't really the target for these machines, but you can't fault them for tring.
