Other business dreams?

I was thinking about this, and many of us here are entreprenuers at heart and have business ideas and dreams besides vending. What's your's?

Mine is to open up an Under 21 and under dance Club. Teens always complain that there is nothing to do here, and I'd like to fill that void. I even picked out a name and possible location, "Ordinance 101," which happens to be the same as my city's noise ordinance.

One of my biggest problems is that I come up with new business ideas all the time. I often start to one degree or another multiple business ideas. I then do not have the time to make any one of them succeed. So, right now my wife is making sure that I stay focused on vending.

Putting that aside, My dream business is to coach small business owners and people wanting to open a business. I have various versions. One is a college type with classes geared toward entrepreneurs. Another would be to have an incubator type setup with small offices available and shared receptionist and other utilities. There would also be coaching sessions.

I'm in the same boat. I have been told I can only have one business at a time. So I am going to go with vending until I have enough to go on to other endeavors. I am really passionate about vending, and so I don't know if I could ever give it up. I always have ideas, but I never have capital. My wife and I allotted ourselves $500 each, and that is our business money. We can use it wisely to earn more money or we can make bad investments and be out of luck and out of money, so I am very careful.

I've thought of the shared entreprenuer office as well. It must appeal to our desire to have an affordable office with available services. They do have them in bigger cities than mine. They sell extra services on top of the sq. footage.

I love business :) I have a sports training business in Orlando, and in Ohio, a tanning salon, vending (duh), software consulting, and I also sell a commercial software HR package. I get a thrill out of managing businesses.

To be honest, only the software ones have made any real $, but I am hoping that by this time next year, all will be turning a healthy profit.

I have always wanted to get into Real Estate Investing and Self Storage.  I have a notebook I write down all my business ideas that come to me throughout the day.  Right now I'm on a concession business kick. I love thinking of new businesses  :)

I also have given the self storage business several thoughts. Only draw back is I would have to hire someone to be their when I cant. But who knows maybe someday.

there are alot of unmanned self storage places. If you go with the security fence and code access you can provide a safe place without having to staff it.

I told you I have thought about alot of businesses.

You do everything by appointment. You have a number for them to call.  I know a guy that built his from ground up without anyone covering the office.

it has its good and bad sides.. I drove by a car lot today that is by appointment only...now if really

liked and wanted to buy a car right now, and I had to call for appointment...GOOD-BYE...lost sale...

people these days are hussle and bussle...appointments are not going to work for everyone...

its like putting your company on automated voicemail with no attendant, it just lacks

live customer service....

Now that is just Stupid. Car buyers are impulse buyers. People go looking for a car see something they like and most of the time buy right then and there. You can't run a car lot like that.....unless you are laundering drug money!

I have been thinking about this a lot.  Pastoral earthly retirement is not very good.  Thus the reason i have jumped into vending to begin to create some extra income so that I can give more and begin to put a little bit more away into retirement.  The coin=op laundry sounds like something i would be interested in as well as coin op car washes.  I have also considered a soccer academy, small pizza shop, and bike rental shop at hilton head island in s.c.  I do not live near there yet, but i have seen the business listed in the past and think that it would be fun.  I used to race bikes and enjoyed repair, so this could be a blast.

I have not thought of a soccer academy before, not my favorite sport. I have looked into Laundry Mat and Car Wash. Both have a high up front cost, but retain the freedom you get form cion-op machinery. I am not sure if I would be comfortable having an unmanned Laundry, but I have seen them around town. Most of the Car Washes are unmaned, but they are checked on almost daily.

I have thought that if I can grow the vending I might add a carwash latter

There is a guy near me who has a "compound".  It is great.  He has a C-store, a Dunkin Donuts, a Deli, a gas station, a carwash, a self storage location, a coin-op laundry.  In the back he run a heating oil delivery business.

I often go there for lunch, get a coffee, and take advantage of the free wi-fi.  This guy has a good business mind, I have talked to him several times.

I would love to do something like this.

If you buy a laundry mat PLEASE read the lease take it to a lawyer get him/her to read it and make sure that landlord is going to be ok...In the lease it needs to say that if building is sold that lease will go on..Spell everthing out in lease...

I just got screwed out of 100,000 dollar business because building sold and a ahole bought it.

I am having to sell machines and get out..

I have a few good ideas that I toy around with occasionally. But I think I would really like to start a residential security consulting business. I came up with the idea while searching around for stuff to advance my electronic security career. I started looking at home security as a whole and I got all these great ideas in my head on how I could build a security consulting business. There are so many things out there that people can do / install to "harden the target" as far as home protection is concerned. Some very basic and cheap some very high tech and expensive.

We'll see. I kick the idea around sometimes and I am always learning more about security, maybe someday......

Well, I have thought of getting a team together, and just building business after business.  The teams objective would be to create a business, get it up and running on it's own, with it's own management team, and simply keep a close eye on it, while doing to whole process over again with another business.  (And another, and another.)

Although, when I have the time and resources, one of the first things I am going to do is to get decent video equipment, movie editing software, and put together little movies, or skits.  Maybe not really a business idea, but at least a creative outlet for me.

I have thought about an online casino, but the legalities of running one while living in Australia are impossible.

A bio - diesel business is something I have also looked at and will probably go into - If only to cut my own fuel bill down.
