Quarter Master
Danny, The maker of the Roadrunner Spiral is O K Manufacturing. You might find that replacing the globe is going to be cost prohibitive. They usually run between $75-$100 depending on size. One thing to look at is if you can turn the globe around to put the good part forward. No one will see the back once it's filled with gumballs. BudLeiser
$200 for a damaged used Spiral is not a deal IMO. Look for headlight scratch repair gel or some such at autozone if it works buy it, if not negotiate.
lurtsman
Test gum also. If gum is not good, it is worthless. If it is good, value at 30$ for the 2 boxes. That leaves 170$ for a spiral. If it needs REPAIR, suggest a lower price. (100$) If they balk, leave your number and walk away. If it needs plastx, offer 120$, and be prepared to negotiate upwards because repairing with plastx is easy (do not tell them that). I've cut phone calls short with a "thank you for my time, but I'm afraid that's far more than I would be interested in paying. As a vendor I am unable to operate a business successfully paying any more than x amount. If you decide you would be interested in that, please give me a call. Have a good night." (Some lady wanted 50$ a piece for used single heads without stands and tried to tell me it was a good deal) Under no circumstance do you want to pay 200$ for a damaged spiral.
