Agapevending Posted October 7, 2009 Posted October 7, 2009 I am getting ready to try and place machines in a small town of about 4,000 some odd people. I also live in the town. So I am one of the odd people. Any way. I have a variety of things to choose from. Pizza places to hair salons . Two of the hair salons are owned by two of my neighbors . but one seems to have more business. and my daughter is friends with both their kids. now this is what i want to know. Do I try for both or just the one. I don't want to make anyone mad. But business is business . And I only look at Traffic and employee count . not just one. Hope some one has some good ideas. Quarter Master Posted October 7, 2009 Posted October 7, 2009 Matthew, Think about it. Are you running a business or trying to do people favors ?
lurtsman Posted October 8, 2009 Posted October 8, 2009 Place a machine in the pizza place. QFT Sell toys
Paraflier Posted October 9, 2009 Posted October 9, 2009 Try them both.... Who knows? Maybe the salon with less traffic has employees that get VERY hungry.
JPVendCo. Posted October 9, 2009 Posted October 9, 2009 My suggestion would be to, at this time, place a machine everywhere you can. if it does really awful, you can always pull it later. some locations I have placed, i thought would do great and were empty duds when i returned. others i thought were gonna be crap, turned out to be really good ones...

Matthew Agapevending It's all about business when making decsions that will effect your potential income. If the town has only 4,000+ people then I would possibly try both locations. Mr. vend
antoniocinisi Posted October 17, 2009 Posted October 17, 2009 try both hair solons but try harder for the restraunts.most likely people from out of town eat there too and spend thier quarters while they are there.
West Coast Vend LLC Posted October 17, 2009 Posted October 17, 2009 I also believe that the Pizza place will do better than the two salons combined. The pizza shop would be an account you can build on as your business grows. You can start with a couple of machines and add crane machines and other redemption type machines if they have the room. If the salons take care of kids and adults, I would include some toy capsule and sticker/tattoo machines in the mix. What else is in the small town? Do you have an competition in this small town? How far away is the next town and is it bigger? Gary
