larry6
One automotive repair shop, unexpectedly closed 60 days ago. I have a machine inside. The mail has been pilling up on the floor. The shop has been locked and looks as though no one has been inside for some time. I have tryed to contact the manager, who is not the owner. No notices are posted and I do not know why they closed. Any ideas on how I can get my machine back:? I have my phone numbers on the machine.
Faith Vending
Go to City Hall or Admin. Bldg., explain situation to the clerk and they should provide you with the landlord name and number. I just did this a month ago and the landlord let me in to get my machine. Also leave your card with all businesses around this one to call you if there is any activity. Good luck. sprint54fan
I agree with JPVEND..concrete block to glass window..climb in grab machine and leave. I have been lucky enough to get all my machines out latly from closed down places..except for one..I have a sports blaster in what used to be a resturant/gas station.. talked to city hall and they gave me the number and address ot the guy..phone number has been disconnected and after several letters to the address still no reply..so my next move may be the block
westlakevending
i would do the same contact city hall then if not wait till morning time 2am less cops per shift call the local police and report a deer hit in the road but make sure that you tell the cops the deer was hit on the opposite side of town where you machine is. Once your in the clear bust in and get your machine but make sure you make that call first last thing you wanna do is smash the window and a cop pulls up. Not saying its legal but never should it have been for them to close with your machine. shawn
dperry
When this happens to me, I search around for any posted signs that would lead to a leasing office phone number. I've also done some crazy stuff like look up the business name online and see if I can find a phone number for them. One time I found the home address of the business owner of a tattoo shop that closed down with my machines in it. I went and knocked on her door and got my machines back! Another thing I've tried was to send a first class letter to the owner at the business location, and label it with "ADDRESS CORRECTION REQUESTED" so that if they have any forwarding address, they would send the address to me (for a fee). But what's worked the best for me is to leave a business card with a note on the back that says "Call me about returning my vending machines" and I try to shove it under the door so that it would get found easily, either by the business owner or the leasing agent. I think that maybe the best thing to do is get the owners cell phone number before they move out.
