BluePlate
I have a location (Mall) that wants a giant gumball machine (like link below). Anyone know where I can find one around the $1000 mark? http://www.gumballs.com/jugiguma.html
Mercury
You are a month too late! There was a guy in OH that had about 10 of them.....I picked one up for $200! Only cost me $150 for shipping to AZ too! He was putting them on Ebay. I think he is out now. Keep an eye on ebay, they show up from time to time. Quarter Master
Blueplate, You might want to discuss this situation a little further with the manager and look at the spot he wants to put it in. Possibly you could get by with a smaller unit or maybe with equipment you already have. I know if one of my accounts called and said they wanted a large expensive piece of equipment, I would have to do a little research to see if it's warranted at the location. That big of machine is going to be expensive to fill and the gumballs at the top may go stale before they get sold. I would recommend a little talk with the man before going out and buying anything. BluePlate
Thanks everyone for the replies! Islander, I agree with you. This machine is not something I am really excited about. This mall is the one I have a few cranes in. I have requested the mall to allow me to place more cranes at the other end of the mall and to bring in a stacker machine. They are thinking about it. The managers request was for one of these giant gumball machines, so there might be some give and take. One thing about mall locations is there is always a national company wanting to land spots. It is hard to compete with the kiosks, cranes, and other vending stuff they can bring in. The thing I can do that the national companies can't is to get to now the mall employees, buy them lunch and listen to what they want. My #1 goal is to get a stacker in the door, if I can do this - It may make a $1500 gumball machine WELL worth it.

Quarter Master
Johnny, A "Stacker" is a video game where the player builds blocks on a screen. The pic is just one of the many versions available.

Mercury
Yes, because people THINK it is a skill game, when in fact it is a game of chance. These border on the unethical, imo. I don't know if I would have one personally. If I did, I would probably put a "game of chance" sticker on it. Or not. Merc Big money maker?? caserri
Boy am I out of the loop. I've never even heard of one of these machines, let alone seen one!
BluePlate
Steve, The closest one I've seen is at the Auburn mall. I sat there one Friday night for 2 hours (yes, I'm a nerd) and I counted about $90 get pumped into the machine. It's a video game meets skill crane. The Stacker has been rated the #1 best buy for the money in Replay magazine 2 years in a row. Brand new they run about $5300 and close to non-existant on the used market. Merc, I really consider myself ethical. I never thought of this as unethical. You might have a point, I just never thought of it. Thank you, I probably won't be able to sleep tonight!
