Edthefuzzy
I as you can tell I am new here and new to vending. I am from LI NY and I am going to start a bulk vending biz. I haven't bought any machines yet but i was going to try and start with 25 to 30 triple head machines and hopfully increase it over time so I can go full time. I have done allot of reading and research and this seems like a good start., but of course I mite just be kidding myself. If anybody can give me any advice I would appreciate it. Thanxs Ed
G-man422
Ed welcome to Vendiscuss! We have a few vendors in NY that I'm sure would be more than happy to help you. I started with triples myself and liked them. removable canisters are a plus and drop through coin mechs are good too.

The Mage
Unless you are buying an established route, I would recommend not buying too many machines at first. Maybe a couple, get them placed, then a couple more. Many people have become frustrated by buying a whole bunch of machines, and not getting them placed. Others go hog wild, then discover the business just is not for them. I am not trying to discourage you, just saying go slow, at least at the start. Now I am still a newbie at this myself, and have been enjoying the ride so far. But this is the approach I am taking, going slow and steady, and making sure I learn as much as possible as I grow, and get all the kinks worked out. allknowing4ever
Welcome to the board. If you haven't already i would read all the stickied information on this website as well as the noteworthy topics in the upper left hand column. There are a lot of smart board members here that have a lot of invaluable information concerning the business. Interesting that you choose triples and the number of them to be 25-30. Just out of Curiosity why did you choose triples and that particular number? Billy
Edthefuzzy
Thanxs everybody for the welcome and advise. As for the reason for the triple heads is they seem the easyest to maintain and have more variety, and for the 25-30 that should be under the $10,000 mark that I believe is the max one could deduct for vending machines on ones taxes. Again I could be completely wrong because this is not only my first time in vending but also in my own business.
The Mage
You aren't doing a Biz-Op are you? (Working with a business opportunity company.) That is the most expensive way to go if you are. If you are thinking of buying a route, you may want to run it through the members here first to make sure you are not overpaying. It is recommended you buy the machines through eBay, or Craigslist. At least your first machines. Keep an eye on your ROI. (Return on investment.) I would not buy anything that takes more then a year to recover the investment in vending. Again I am still a newbie in vending, but this is what I have learned so far.
Edthefuzzy
I have been looking around Craig's and ebay really haven't seen anything yet. but i may buy one of the crappy ones just to play with. As for the investment I figure if i average one dollar a day per machine I would have everything payed off in a year to a year and a half. To optimistic ? allknowing4ever
It all depends on the location. Know the location and you will know the certainty of your business. Billy
