Sparta_Automation
I am getting ready to place 2 machines at a gas station and was wondering if I need to bolt them to the concrete to keep them from tipping over.... first as a safety method (hate to get sued), second as a security method (hate to have them stolen). looking for opinions. BTW, these are two DN600E units. Thanks Travis
mxer518
when loaded this machines should be about 1000 lbs, if someone can move this machine I would be impressed. But for the few people in the world that can that's what liability insurance is for.
Technivend
While they probably weigh in excess of 1000lbs they could still be tipped. Albeit unlikely but possible. Bolting to the concrete will be difficult and probably overkill. Now if they are going to be next to each other and you can bolt them together you are over 2000lbs to tip.! mission vending
In my experiences with outdoor machines I'd be more worried about someone trying to break into the machine and/or vandalize it. Most petty criminals are too lazy to bother with tipping or stealing a machine.
Sparta_Automation
Thanks for the input.....I was more worried about a person tipping them over trying to get their soda's....but if I connect them, I think it seriously lessens the chance of them being tipped. boldandmodern
I would be more worried about theft and the money in the machines. Make sure you put some good locks on there not the generic ones.
Sparta_Automation
I was worried about the theft of money as well. I have a puck locking system installed on the upper half of the door.....so I'm pretty hopeful that this will deter the common criminal. One other thing in my favor is that this gas station is right across the street from the Washington State Patrol Office....Literally, they share the same driveway. So I'm feeling pretty good, but most crooks are not that smart! Travis
