mxer518
hello, just wondering if anybody has any experience with asset sales from any of the big brand drink company's? As my business begins to grow at a more rapid rate I see a need to acquire large amounts of drink machines for when I get an account that requires multiples. I notice people on eBay are selling the old royal machines that had the sams cola in them that would be found in walmarts as well as sams club locations, I am just wondering if anybody has had any luck finding where these are being sold and if you need a brokers license to buy them.. mission vending
Usually you gotta know somebody, Pspsi used to offer up for sale used equipment to employees on a bid basis, then they would sell the remainder by the truckload to someone that would haul it off. Much is junk and/or nonvending equipment. In my area Coke (for sure) and I think Pepsi as well now reman their own equipment so they don't have anything to sell off so it's not an option anymore. mxer518
Yea I have never heard of anything local as far as asset sales goes... I am just finding myself in a position where I should have at least a dozen machines on hand ready to be placed at all times. I can get them any day of the week for like 700$ but I know that I should be able to get them at half that and clean them myself...
Mikey B
Walmart and Sam's club contracted a liquidation company to get rid of their machines. The company had a couple on ebay and thats how I found out about it, and basically they had a list of what machines were where. you pick a store and send them your money. when the money was received they sent you all the paper work to be able to pick up the machines from the stores. It was a royal pain in the rear, because management at the individual stores had no clue what was going on and at first, thought you were trying to pull a fast one on them and steal their machines. The whole process was very poorly planned and executed. Walmart/sams eventually took over the remaining machines and contracted a company to come and remove the remaining ones. But at $50 a machine, yes.... I said $50 a machine I would do it all over again. I believe originally that the first liquidation company was supposed to go all over the US and pick the machines up and then do whatever they wanted with them. But instead, they sold the machines on the spot and ppl like myself had to go to the individual stores to pick our machines up meanwhile hoping and praying that no one grabbed them before you got there.
