zanygames
Hi, I bought 11 used NW 60 or super 60's. I have them ready to go, but wanted to ask what setting people use on the bulk candy wheels? The settings are labeled 1-6. What do you use for: Mike: MMP: MM: SK: RP:
JPVendCo.
half-ounce.
JPVendCo.
"My son, I am going to teach you how to fish, rather then give you a fish, so that you may eat for a lifetime." -A wise man so what you are gonna do here is break down the top. remove the globe, and the brushes. now you are staring at the wheel. as mentioned before, you are wanting about a half ounce per vend, which means different things for different product. say you have decided on 7 PMM. set the wheel so that when you turn it 7 PMM fall out most of the time. you can see how many fit in the pan, so its not like you have to put the thing back together each time. do the same for the other items, so that you vend approximately half-ounce servings. if you have no way of measuring currently available to you, there is a spreadsheet here somewhere that estimates number of pieces per ounce, and you can use that. lurtsman
Around here the competition, even on charity spots sometimes, has pushed me to frequently using a .6 of an ounce instead of a half ounce.

JPVendCo.
ok, here's what I came up with. type pcs. setting MM's 16 6 Skittles 14 6 Chic/tab gum 11 6 MI & HT 8 5 RP 16 6 Runts 12-14 4 PMM 6 5 PMM 8 4 I included 6 and 8 pc for PMM, alot of times I will give 8, but increases COG's. jb5580
Has anyone come up with a way to put some sort of material in the three candy partitions to make it vend even less product than it does @ the 6 setting? I am vending tab gum and it vends 11 pieces at the 6 setting. I would love to figure out a way to put in something so it would only vend 6 pieces and make my COG's even less per vend. I know some have gone to 1" caps with 2 to 3 pices in it but I'd like to vend 5 or 6 pieces and still use the candy wheel. This would double my ROI. cavity
You could try to bend the vertical part of the metal "3 wing" insert toward the cavity where the product drops into. See above pics, and bend it back toward the chicklets(Polarmint) slightly. Bend and test, until you get the correct vend quantity you would like. jb5580
I came up WI another idea. Tell me if you guys think this will work. I cut cardboard squares to the size of the vertical walls on the 3 wing and taped them around each one. After some test vends it cut my vends down from 10 or 11 pieces to 6 or 7. Do you all think this will hold up and work or create a problem and come loose? Anyone try something like this before?
JPVendCo.
if you want a permanent solution, I have it for this. its very simple actually. you have to have the plastic set to do this though...when I say set i mean, wheel and "tri-wing thingy" set the tri wing one the wheel and make a mark for all 3 tabs. get a gas torch like one of those ronson torches, or a map gas torch or anything you can use without burning yourself, (lighters aren't hot enough) take a nail and heat it up with the torch and Melt into the plastic the setting you are wanting (be careful not to close it up so far that product can sneak in the back) you will need to use a different nail for each melt. this should work, I have used it to do half settings on the vendstars. JPVendCo.
or you could use this......
jb5580
I get what your saying JP. It's just like adding an extra setting notch but dont go so far because product will start spilling in from the back. I wonder if you could just put small pieces of tape over those gaps in the back? JPVendCo.
you could but people might think it is unsanitary.....the plastic tri-wing covers more area, the metal one they didnt waste much material on!
cavity
Alright, I read it a few times and get it now. I guess I'm just a bit slow tonight. Basically, you're melting new vertical grooves into the plastic wheel that are "shallower" than the original settings, right?
JPVendCo.
the areas marked in red are where you would melt. creating a new setting. don't hate on my paint skillz......

I got mine in a box of spare parts I got off a seller "just get this stuff outta here!" I go hunting for throw-ins. I average over 100$ of value on throw ins. I look around the garage for things to ask for, they just keep saying "yes take it". Sometimes I post those things on ebay afterwards to get my money back from buying the machines. Very good ROI
