Shootin' Hoops Alternative

I hear alot of talk about how good the Shootin' Hoops interactive gumball machines are, and how they bring in more quarters than a typical single head machine.  However I also know that they are no longer being made.  I see that gumfun.com is still advertising them, but gumballs.com says that they are discontinued.  So truth is, I don't know if they are still available to buy new.

So, to that end, would anybody be interested in helping me to design a similar machine?  I expect I would be making it out of wood and that they would be similar in appearance to Simon's interactive vendors (http://modularvendingsystem.com/What_Is_Interactive_Vending.php), but with the same functionality as the original hoops machine.

Unfortunately, I'm hobbled by the fact that I have never really taken a good look at a SH machine to know how to recreate one.  Can you owners of SH give me some detailed photos and dimentions.  I especially need a view of the playing field taken from where the player would be standing.  I can't find any photos on the web that give me that view.

Any help and input would be appreciated.

hey steve, when I was uploading these pics I saw something that could use attention. when you "attach" there is not enough contrast between the dialogue box and the text colors. couldnt see if I had inserted anything in there or not till I posted.

Hoops-Gum, distributed by NW(not made by them), might be another good alternative to making a SH knockoff.  It's a bit larger, however, it is made from wood and has a bigger "playing field", check it out.  I bet it would be easier to duplicate.

Do you have a link or pictures? I've never heard of it.

I found it on the NW website.  I called and asked and they say they no longer sell them.
