mxer518
hey just wondering if anybody is using lectro trucks to move their machines? I have 3 of them and let me tell you they are a life saver in this industry. I just picked one up today but it does not have the kick out wheels and was just wondering if anybody knows where to get them or has an extra set of them they might be willing to sell? mission vending
Sorry, no help here. I have a moving guy that does all that stuff for me. Now that's a REAL lifesaver!!!!
mxer518
haha I agree, but I am still young and able to do all the moves myself, if you haven't ever seen an lectro truck I suggest looking into one if you plan on moving machines yourself. royalforest
How much do you pay your moving guy?
mission vending
$50.00 per box if I help with the install, open doors etc. $60.00 if not. Plus every once in a while I'll bring a six pack for afterwards.
royalforest
The Lectro truck seems like it is hard physical labor. How hard is it to get a machine in and out of a box truck?
mxer518
not a bit, with the right one and the correct setup it can be done pretty much with 1 finger. I have 3 lectro trucks for moving machines, I reserve the biggest one just as a power lift gate for lifting machines in and out of the box trucks. I have never had any issue and will continue to recommend them to every person I talk to that plans on being in the business for any length of time and moves at least a few machines per year. royalforest
Why can't you use the same big Lectro for all use? Why 3? You have been a big help. Thanks!
mxer518
the big one is a beast, it weighs about 250 lbs and it is mainly used for stuff even bigger than 1000 lb soda machines. I got a killer deal on the other two at an auction, they are a lot lighter and easier to move in tight spaces. If you are going to pay full price for one get the feather weight one and have it be the only one you use.
