kleanride
Hello! New to vending - so far it is more of a paper business as I haven't taken delivery on the machine yet, but so far I have 1 Knockout Vending 'boxer' machine. I don't know what else I would like to add, but I see this as a part time 'supplemental' business for me. Not really sure about wanting to do candy/soda machines (or in MN we say 'pop' machines), but I am also not really sure what else is out there. I talked to Vendstar today and it seems like they would promise you the moon in your backyard tomorrow if they could. (apparently they don't have the best reviews online, I have seen!) Thoughts? Advice? Thanks in advance! dale
lurtsman
Do not buy from vendstar. Do buy good condition used vendstars for 20$ per, already assembled.
The Mage
Vendstar has a very up and down rep as far as the machines. Some like them, some hate them. Personally I like them, although I only have one so far. Personally I like them because I can get them so cheap. I would go up to $50 myself. Try not to buy too many machines before they are placed, at least until you get to the point that you have enough experience that you know you can get them placed without a problem. Too many people bet the farm on a ton of machines that spend a year in their garage, and a month on eBay. Some people don't even buy the machine until they already have a location all ready to go. I understand this myself, but it does make it a little harder to get deals if you need to get that machine now. Deals are about patience. Now while many vendors focus on used machines only, some vendors will buy new machines, but they won't touch the Biz-Op machines. And there are times you have no choice but to buy new machines, or actually prefer to buy them new for one reason or another. If I ever buy a new machine, it is going to be placed before I ever buy it. Do you have your boxer machine already placed?
kleanride
Thanks for the responses! I don't have the boxer machine placed yet, but I 'hope to' this week. I haven't taken delivery on it yet or anything either. So what are good machines? Preferably starter-type machines?
