tooldini
I am wanting to get into toy vending and it seems the 2" are the way to go as far as profit. Do any of you use single head toy machines on locations? Also would these sell good in sports bars http://www.vending-usa.com/mlbbaseballcap.html http://www.vending-usa.com/mlbbaseballs.html have any of you purchased from these guys? thanks for any help
dperry
NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! NO! A THOUSAND TIMES NOOOOOOO! Don't ever buy from these guys. They only resell stuff that other vending suppliers sell, and they sell them for 200% markup. Get the best deal and go to the source. Those items are from A&A and you won't buy them at any better price from anybody else than from A&A. That being said, I have no idea how well these particular items will sell, but I have to assume they might sell well in any sports bar or BBQ joint. If you are going to try one single item, I would recommend a large sticky mix either from A&A or Cardinal.

CandymachinesCom
The 2" toy machines are a great addition to your machines but I think they are more commonly seen in a rack setup. If you have room for a rack in your location that would be a good idea. This way you can offer a better selection. A better selection is a better chance at getting those quarters. The hot item that seems to be working for our customer is actually the 1" zoomania and/or seamania as well as the 2" fuzzy face mustaches. The MLB hats and baseballs are new as well as the NHL hats and they should sell rather well in a sports bar location. Most of our customers will vend the hats for $1.00. Hope this helps and good luck!

(prices are almost twice what I'm used to paying, and I can't fathom how the vendor can afford a commission) Your site is very pretty though. Do you buy machines from vendors? You've got a spiral on there for almost 600$, I've got one in new condition with neon lights I'd be happy to sell you 400$...
Jax Snacks
I would focus on 1 inch toys first. Then get into stickers/tattoos later. Don't completely abandon candy every where, just don't over do it with too many candy selections. Nothing wrong with a double head with 2 toys or 1 toy/1 candy or 1 toy/1 gumball. However I can not recommend 2 inch vending to any new toy vendor right now. I may probably start a mini war over this statement, but I really don't like 2 inch vending and 2 inch vending would be the last thing I would get into if I had to start from scratch. The 2 inch products are too expensive and most just don't move that well. I had many racks where the 1 inch (and even the candy) would blow out but the 2 inch sucked wind and hardly moved. I have since removed many 2 inch machines and replaced them with sticker machines. Of course there a few exceptions, like NFL products in sports bars and 49mm superballs in specific locations. You will be forced to sell most 2 inch products at 75 cents or a dollar to make any money today. At that price you need quality premium products and not the junk that many suppliers provide and those products will never sell for 75 cents. At 50 cents, the product costs and commissions eat up too much profit. However, I have had some luck with 2 Inch Sticky Hands at 50 cents as one exception, but most of my 2 inch mechs are 75 cents now. I limit most racks to one and only one two inch product. Some people are dumping two inch machines at bargain prices for a reason! I also have many two inch machines in storage, but I will not sell them since hopefully I will get more rack locations over time. So toldini, yes get into toys, just not 2 inch right away! Just ask anyone who has cases of dead two inch inventory in storage. For me, 2 inch vending has been like dealing with a rebellious hard headed teenager and a constant struggle! tooldini
It just seems like 2" products would sell some of them are really neat items it seems kids would love. Could it have anything to do with people just have 1 quarter more readily available than 2. I really appreciate all the help I want to start out right and so far I think I am doing good. Thanks again
shvend
I will sell this prodcut to you all day long for $49 to $50 dollars holly cow. Yes turn and run as far as you can. 2" toys are a good way to go, and no you do not have to have them on a rack. If you already have a small triple vend or someother small setup and 2" vendor from A&A on a nice pipe stand will work wonders. Plus the pipe stand is cheaper then a whole rack setup. I have made up a triple on a pipe stand with a 25" 2" machine in the middle between two vistas selling 1" toys and gumballs. I had to make my own top plate tho out of painted wood and it worked fine. THAT is AWESOME! What size board do you have under the machines? You haven't had the board warp or crack?
dperry
I went to lowes and got a 6" board and cut off 24". I then drilled holes for the machines and the pipe flange. Then I painted with krylon spray paint.
