amc-vending
I am just starting out in the vending business, it is something I have thought about for a couple of years now and starting to get started. I have purchased some bulk machines and slowly purchasing this guys route from him that are on location. But I dont want to limit myself to just bulk machines I do want to get some soda machines and snack machines. I feel the profit per location will be much higher $$ wise per location but also more headaces per location and expense. Which soda and snack machines are the best for reliabilty and easy to work on. I know that this day and age they will need DBA's. Which ones should I walk or run away from ? What is the normal commision for a full line soda machine or snack machine ? I will be purchasing some used machines off CL or eBay to start with. any info that anyone can give me / guide me in - is much appricated. thanks
alyssamma
AMC, there are some good threads in the full line forum about full line vs. bulk. I'd suggest you read them. At a high level... 1) For the time spent, bulk and full line give about the same profit - *in general* 2) Full line has (as you said) a different set of headaches - repairing machines, storage locations for product, different vehicle to service, etc. 3) You might have sales taxex to deal with now The threads are older, so you'll need to go back a few pages, but they have excellent info. mission vending
Good advice from alyssamma. As for the type of equipment to buy or not. I think you will find many different opinions about the various brands, my suggestion is to post a link on a deal you find and solicit opinions about our thoughts about the specific deal and not just what brand of equipment it is. The feedback you get that way might be of better use to you.
