sherlock
I have a question about putting your company info on machines... In reading through Vendiscuss, I thought putting your biz name/ph# on your machines was the industry norm. Providing a company name and ph# seems to be a good idea for customer service and a good idea in case the owner/manager of the location needs to reach you re: your machines. However, I have found most machines around here have NO contact info for the vending company. There is no ph# and no company name/sticker anywhere on the machines. Trust me, I look top/bottom and back/front. I even check the stand(s). I'd say maybe less than 1-in-10 machines in my area will have company info on them. What gives? If some of you keep your contact info off of machines, what's your reason? I'd like the forum members' thoughts....I don't want to regret putting my info on my machines. T BIRD
IMO, the professional way to do this is to attach a sticker with your company name and phone number for service when needed.
lurtsman
Almost every machine I have placed shows my phone number and first name. Ones without that information are frequently either owned by the store owner, a friend of the owner, or someone who slammed the machine. Today someone used my sticker to call and tell me my machine was empty. It did 75$ in under a month to sell out. I did not predict that. Glad someone called and told me. I wish this would happen more often.....most of the time when I get to an empty machine the people are like "its been empty for like a week"
amc-vending
me personally I am putting company info stickers on all of my machines. for several reason 1. that way the location can call me if there is a problem or out of stock. 2. if busines closes - at least you have some proof the machine belongs to you
JPVendCo.
how do they get ahold of you if the machine is stolen?
Paraflier
This was on a previous post that I can't find, or I would give credit where credit is due. Label the INSIDE of your machine as well. Know how many Vendstars there are? Lots. Know how many Vendstars there are with YOUR company name and contact info behind the collection door? Yours. If you ever have a machine stolen and are ID'ing it to get it back, or if someone else has your model at a location.

Quarter Master
Sherlock, Some machines put out by these mass vendors don't have anything on them because the location owner knows who they are. Good example is Vend-O-Matic. You will see their machines (racks) in alot of grocery stores with no obvious labels. If you look at the price label on each machine you'll see their name. It's kinda small but it's there. To each his own.
lurtsman
I write: For Service or Free Placement Call Today (618) BR549...More so in hopes that someone calls me wanting a machine like the one they saw with this sticker...but an empty machine call would be great too. I have some machines needing free placement. How should I contact you to have you start on that? At that price you might even compete against Rob. sherlock
Thanks for the info everyone. I'm certainly putting my company info on the outside of my machines. Wasn't going to put my info on the inside too...but I will now. Those huge vending companies in large locations aren't the only ones around here without company info on their machines. I've seen everything from single gumball machines in tucked away corners to full racks at grocery stores exits and it is RARE when I find a phone # on them around here. Jax Snacks
Definitely put the labeling inside the machine. I have ID on every machine since you never know what kind of journey it will take or what a new owner/manager will do with it. For charity machines, put the service number on the label provided. I would not put a business name on the label since the machine was most likely positioned as a charity donation by the locator. For commission machines, put your business card with the service number. Some states and/or localities actually have labeling laws. Here in Florida, all food and beverage machines must be labeled with the owners name, address and state tax ID - but no phone is required! Most bulk vendors seem to ignore or are simply ignorant of that law as I see many biz-op machines without them. Jax
sbishop
I have an account with ringcentral.com. It comes with a local number and voice mail that are emailed to me when there is a message. The can also forward the calls to any number you give them. It cost $10 per month and I do not have my cell phone number posted all over town. havending
I only provide it to the location owner/ manager. If its on the machine you get dumb phone calls from ever tom, golpher and harry. Also a nother reason for some vendors is they dont pay taxes.
