BluePlate
OK, thought we could start a good thread here. Basically this is the WTF thread. We've all seen them on Craigslist and Ebay. Yes, you know - the 5 Vendstar 3000 for only $2000. Or the "Vintage" Northwesterns with a small crack in the globe for $500. Or the ads that say my 3 location bring in an extra $1000 a month. For my first entry, I want to post the eBay auction below. Is that REALLY a vending stand or is that a step stool this guy stole from his wife? http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=270487358398 Now, please - this is all in good fun. If this is your auction we are laughing with you not at you!

BluePlate
If it colapses, it looks like there is a folded spare in the back to the left!

davidsurvz
We had a fun thread going with an ebay auction for a while. (This guy was selling a 1800 machine.) http://vendiscuss.com/forum/index.php?topic=2812.0 I know there was another one where we were all offering $5 for one of those "vintage" machines. lurtsman
It just so happens I have several of these. I got them practically free when closing a deal on about 24 eagles. They are not in good shape, and to be honest did not look as good as the one in that picture. I took the rust off the stand (somewhat, I didn't know then what I know now about dealing with it.) I got them locations myself over the summer, and now my effort and hard work are returning about 50$/month in profits. It's not an insane crazy deal, but it helps. I'll probably put some of the machines together and sell them on Ebay, they can be quite a hassle, and the candy settings are pretty small. Because of the style of wheel the only candies you can vend well are skittles and rp.
ifishli
Is that 10,000 a month in nickles or pennies
caserri
Here is one I have my eye on. One Oak machine, BIN for only $500.00. If this sells, I just found a new investment opportunity using all the old machines in my garage... http://cgi.ebay.com/GREEN-HORNET-Original-Vintage-1960s-Vending-Machine_W0QQitemZ280427900219QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item414ace2d3b
