chrisdunn77
What do you guys think about these machines? at first i didn't like them but i have a chance to pick up 10 for $200.00 ($20.00 each) or more if i want, up to 30 of them. i thought they might make a nice add on for some of my busy locations. the ones i might be picking up all come with stands in like new shape. Mercury
Mmmmmm......delicious! I love peanut butter cups! No idea how they vend, good luck! Merc
sherlock
Like Merc, I LOVE peanut butter cups, but am not sure about how they do as a vend product. My first concern would be with shelf life. I'd get an idea of the shelf life before investing in these machines. But, on the bright side, those stands in "like-new" condition are almost worth the $20 by themselves. lurtsman
I would try to talk him down to 10-15$/head to buy all of them. (Assuming they come with locks) Then I'd strip the poles and keep them for my business. Get shipping quotes from the post office on sending heads to various parts of the country, and start selling the machines off on Ebay. The Ebay price will probably reach 20-25$ per machine before shipping without the stand, effectively getting you the stands for free and a very small monetary compensation for your effort. You can keep using the "list similar item" feature to keep posting new auctions during the winter. Don't put more than 2 or 3 up at a time. I would NOT attempt to actually use the machine. I don't trust the shelf life, or the environmental survivability of the product. GL, let us know what you do.
davidsurvz
Sounds yummy I love PB cups too! I think it would just depend on the location.....
mxer518
I won a few of these machine, I would suggest proceeding with extreme caution. I thought that machines much like these which are the peppermint patty machines would be great sellers which in fact they were, but as most of you know they recently discontinued them. I would just keep in mind that they might not always make packing to be able to vend these items. I now have about 60 peppermint patty machines that are as good as trash, and lost a good deal of good money making accounts all in the matter of a day with that announcement from the Hershey corp. JPVendCo.
have you considered the modification to change the type of patty it vends?
West Coast Vend LLC
Do you know a supplier that sells PB cups? How much would they sell for? Can you say, "Air Conditioner". Like peppermint pattie's, they can not be exposed to heat or sunlight at all. Gary
Mikey B
maybe I'm looking at it all wrong, but the way I have always looked at vending is charge what I would pay. If the only PB size these will vend is the miniatures then I wouldn't go for it. 1. based on my findings, you are going to pay about 8-10 cents for each one. 2. I as a consumer would not pay 25cents for 1 miniature Reese PB. 3. I might pay 25 cents for 2 of them, but then as a vendor, your profit is only about 5-9cents. And if you pay commission or charity, your profit is even lower. Just my bulk rookie two cents worth.

chrisdunn77
I went to see the buyer today. i decided to pick up 12 of them i figured worst case i would just keep the stands. they are very heavy duty. now my first problem is how do you load these things! i must be missing something. there must be something you do to make the inside wheel spin freely. if you just drop the candies in from the top they tend to land sideways. I might just keep the stands and sell the machines on ebay and local.
Jax Snacks
They remind me of a buzz bite machine - which always jammed according to other vendors here! The shelf life and durability on that stuff is very short compared to bulk. Stale products can get you booted. Not worth the trouble IMHO. antoniocinisi
I use a wooden spoons handle on my peppermint patty machines to straighten the patty out when it lands sideways. PBC are a goodseller usually arent they?
The Mage
Roll them up into balls, and vend them with a gumball machine.
