jayhawk22
Anyone know if there are any distributors still in business that sell new Shootin Hoops machines? The only company I can find online is Enterprise Vending. I don't know if they still sell them though. Plus the price is probably crazy. These are getting very hard to find used online and they are my favorite gumball machine!
tooldini
None I know of except Northwestern makes one but it just isn't the same as the good ole shootin hoops like we probably both have. I sent enterprise an e-mail about them to see what they say.
tooldini
Enterprise does have them new and used. Used he said are $300.00 or if you buy all 8 it is $250.00. He will also sell new prices depends on how many you buy. If you buy like 25 it is 469.00 each and he flies out to train and help you get locations. Just thought I would let you guys now even though most like to buy used machines and for cheap our options are limited if you want the original style shootin hoops. This is the link for any that have not seen these yet http://www.vending101.com/hotshot.htm
JPVendCo.
this seems very biz-op-ish.......
Jax Snacks
A father-son team from Alabama developed the hoops machine and built a route of about 300 in South Bama and North Florida. They sold the rights about 3 years ago to a guy in Idaho and he went out of business. So who owns the rights and the molds? Don't know. No one else has these brand new any more and a former member (nam, an internet search guru) could not find them either. But he did find a Canadian company that advertised them, but they never returned emails. Their problem IMHO is that they turned it into a biz-op and the contract salesmen were selling packages for $500 to $700 per hoops machine. I bought a hoops route from a guy and he said he paid $10,000 for 16 hoops and 4 Route Master (uturn clones). Jax
jayhawk22
Thanx for the info tooldini. I guessed the price would be $500+. I think there was a company called Products on Demand that were making these for awhile. How can these companies not stay in business making & selling these machines?! There really isn't much to them! Maybe if they would lower the price & do more volume!
tooldini
It must just cost a fortune to get up and running production so they need to jack the price way up to keep business going. They do seem very simple molded plastic seems like they could be made pretty cheap.
T BIRD
With all of the expansion work I have been doing, I forgot that I have about 10 of these machines just sitting in one of my storage rooms. I just pulled them out yesterday. ( 4 of them are brand new ). The others are in excellent condition. I gotta find the time to place these bad boyz. dperry
None I know of except Northwestern makes one but it just isn't the same as the good ole shootin hoops like we probably both have. Northwestern does not make those machines shown on their webpage. They are made by somebody else, and only sold by NW. However, I recently called up NW and asked about them, and I was told that they were no longer available.
tooldini
We must be the only group that likes these machines. So it seems the only place to get them is from Enterprise vending. Wish they were cheaper maybe we could get a group buy or something.

Here is what they sent me regarding the Hoops Gum machine, hope it helps: Unfortunately, we do not have any parts for the Sports Challenge machines. The company that manufactured the play area has gone out of business. You can try Scott Tidball @ 919-494-1322. Hey may be able to help out. Thanks. zanygames
Hi, I can look into getting something like this made. Can someone send me photos of a Shootin Hoops, or of the NW version? I think I saw some here in the forums before. I use to make carnival games for parties. Which version would people want? It sounds like the Shootin Hoop type machine. How many plastic parts are in the shootin hoops machine, not including the gumball machine? Can you win something or do you just play with the 1" item from the machine and then it comes out? I can start with the photos and then if this looks likes something people really are interest in I'll have to find a shootin hoops for sale that I can purchase to get ideas. Thanks, Steve
zanygames
I found the photos here in the forum. It looks like several parts would need to be done in plastic. It would be great to see what it would cost to run some of these if someone still has the molds. Steve

cavity
Might have found a small lot for 90 a piece. I think if it's the same seller that I spoke with, he has 4 of them. He works for a shipping co. and is able to deliver them to your house for that $90. Tell him you won't pay any more than that.
