JPVendCo.
I can tell you what not to get....those plastic, I think they are called royal sovereign counters. they get jammed up and will burn up with vendor's use.
BluePlate
I bought one off eBay. Not a single issue with it. Runs great, saves a lot of time. This is the only one I've owned. The only down fall is it's not too portable. http://cgi.ebay.com/Ribao-CS-2000-Coin-Counter-Sorter-and-Packager-NEW_W0QQitemZ280436114597QQcmdZViewItemQQptZLH_DefaultDomain_0?hash=item414b4b84a5
royalforest
Does this machine put them in rolls for you?
ronsidney
if for route use i just use a scale,,i have one from accucount and one from q tech..they both work great and its not as obvious to location what your doing as it doesnt make all the clanking sound of a mechanical coin counter.. in the money vault at home i got a glory coin roller..it rolls the coins and just kicks them out in 10 dollar rolls...i just carry a couple bags of these with me on route for those locations that want to be paid in rolled quarters..new one is over 10K ,,i got one off ebay for about 500.. ron

IVEND11
I use cummins counters and love them been using them for 8 years in fact I am typing this watching the cummins tech do a check up on mine I think I have had mine go down 3 times in 8 years and it was stuff like a belt breaking. I don't use scales all of the money goes strait to the feds. Cummins is a great counter bills and coins coin counter has never went down and I count a lot of money every day
mxer518
For route use I would only ever use a scale, while counting the money for bank prep I use a Klop (spelling?) counter that is electric. Its only something you will need to invest in once you break that 5000$ per month in quarters. And if you are doing that kind of volume you will not be rolling, you will be putting them into bulk bank bags.
coinvestor
I agree with Ivend. The Cummins coin counters are the way to go, I'm not a fan of there bill counters. I use the JetSort 4000 http://www.cumminsallison.com/coin_op/jetsort_4000.htm The cummins equipment is most likley what your bank uses too. IVEND11
May I ask why you don't like the bill counters. The one I have is amazing fast two pocket.
coinvestor
May I ask why you don't like the bill counters. The one I have is amazing fast two pocket. It constantly had chain errors. It was easy to work on, but was very sensitive. I had bought it used so I thought the problems were coming from me working on it. My bank has the same counter and has a monthly maintenance contract with cummins and doesn't run any better then mine. Just about every month the machine is down when the tech guy shows up. It just gets to the point where it will only run 5-6 bills before it starts giving chain errors. JD
IVEND11
I know what you are talking about mine was doing that and we had a full overhaul on it I think it was about 500 dollars the guy came out and fixed it and it works great. I would spend the money to get cummins to fix it. I have took mine apart and fixed it before but when the cummins guy came he showed me all the stuff I missed when putting it back together and it was crazy all of the little stuff that has to be done for it to work right. Since he came at the end of july 2.27 mil has been counted in that counter and no problems.
