antoniocinisi
i was thinking about doing this too.Kelly would probab;ly be my best bet to do this with.anyone else live close enough in Illinois that we can do this but far enough away that we aren`t competeing(much)? antoniocinisi
does anyone know if we can buy a palet directly from the company?would we have to pay shipping or could we have a some sort of pick up location or shipping terminal?
sprint54fan
What would it cost for half a pallet.?
antoniocinisi
I am estimateing $1800 before shipping.shipping could be 300.possibly less.I can get comercial rates and have it put right in the back of my truck if a pallet of gum weighs less then a half ton. antoniocinisi
I can buy 85 cases at Sam's for less than $1500.00 if my math serves me correctly.$18 times85 is $1530.that is for cheapo stuff.bvetter selling gum cost more but will move quicker too.plus i am guessing on prices,it could be the same given the quantity. caserri
It's interesting that this topic has come up. I was recently trying to figure out a way (AGAIN) to put together a deal for members. I am having a problem finding a way to distribute the product to everyone though. I called Ford Gum and they will sell their GB by the pallet for $16.62 a case. A pallet contains 85 cases and they will ship it for free. That's right, FREE FREIGHT! I just can't figure out a way to distribute the cases to the members while preserving the cost savings. antoniocinisi
does that make it more apealing to you kelly?would waiting a few months like I intended to do help you out?I intended on doing this in spring so the nicer weather wouldn`t freeze the gum during shipping. STEVE do you want to go halves on a pallet if they`ll ship it half and half??can we mix it up as far as size and flavor gumballs? it is better imo to have fresh soft gumballs rather then chipping rocks to chew on and thats whats hapening at sams again. caserri
Antonio, Unfortunately, I was not inquiring for my own use. I don't need gumballs. I was (am) trying to figure out a way to distribute the cases to the members here who would like to take advantage of pallet pricing but only need smaller quantities at a time. The Mage
Find the member who lives the highest above sea level, and have tubes (hamster tubes?) running from his house to every member who want's gumballs. Then simply roll those babies down the tubes. Or if we want to get Futurama on those gumballs, they can be sent from your house through the tubes, we just need the members to attach a vacuum cleaner to the tube, and suck those babies in. (I'm sober I swear.)
antoniocinisi
I might convert my 1080 count locations back to 850 and get a pallet on my own come spring time.I`ll run all my locations low and buy at the last possible minute.I think that by then all my gumball machines should be out on the route.if I fill all the machines I have that sell gum up to the rim I`ll need over 10 cases anyways. I would still rather split a pallet with some intrested party.maybe by then someone might be able to do it.
antoniocinisi
I called ford and I definately will be going this route.I AM GETTING a few differant flavors and sizes. kelly or anyone in Illinois,do you want to buy some of these at cost from me?I will get them shipped to my location and pay for them. I dont know how long the wait will be but I need to call them to find out if thier watermelon gumballs are round or if they have ridges because those wont work for me ,so I will find the wait time too when I call. antoniocinisi
Did Ford quote you a shelf life on the gum ?usually it is two years.I will ask them that too.they did say the gum will be less then a week ld when I get it.it ships from Illinois too. lurtsman
If you are waiting until spring to do this, keep me in the loop. I might make a stop over there on a trip to get machines. I don't suppose the nerd's GB could be one of the flavors? Those are probably a different maker. Not sure if I'd be having demand for enough of the boxes to make it worth it the gas to detour, but I'd like to know what is happening in case I decide to be involved. antoniocinisi
LURSTMAN,BELOW IS A COMPLETE PRICE list of what they have.they also offer mike and ike flavored gum and 2 sizes of nerds gumballs among many other types of candy and gum.the higher prices are the 84 or less cases.the lower price is what would apply though since I am going for a pallet.if it would help you any I can have these at my brothers pizza shop for pick up in springfield il. take the time to read what they offer since there is more then just gum. you can buy as many or as little as you like, anything would help.I do plan on waiting till early spring so in the mean time I run out of what I have. vipergts
I'd be interested in splitting a pallet 2 or 3 ways if there is anyone around the Atlanta area that's interested.
