bandersnatch27
I heard of a product you can apply to the bottom of the machine & it stops ants from getting in? I bought some used 3 tier vending machines & they all had this sticky brown stuff all over the bottom of the candy machine. The guy who sold 'em to me told me the name of the stuff & I could get it at a hardware store? But I forgot the name- please some one tell me. thanks! mainor5251
Put a light coat of vaseoline on the stand where it meets the bottom of the machine, about a 2" strip, there it will be out of sight.
Storm e
Haven't tried on vending machines but this stuff works on counters and such and is non toxic... Ant Away (forgive me, new to the forum and not sure if ok to post links?) http://www.herbariasoap.com/other-products/ant-away.html?gclid=CKaA6P_kjaACFSOjagod9GtOcQ If nothing else the product ingredients are listed on the site and you may wish to experiment with creating your own concoction. Chalk is the best deterrent I know of but a chalk line around your machines may raise a few eyebrows. lol
rick4811
I put a strip of double sided tape around the top of the pole. The ants get stuck to the tape. The tape is high enough on the pole that it is not noticeable. When you service your machine just replace the tape.

havending
Put a light coat of vaseoline on the stand where it meets the bottom of the machine, about a 2" strip, there it will be out of sight. Oldest trick in the book and it works
JEREMYTINA
I agree with Hav and Mainor. Vaseline has worked well for us. Don't overload it though.
Rick Falcon
Never came across this problem but I did hear that vaseline does the job.
