Enduring heat and intense sunlight

I was out shopping with my wife today and we went to an outdoor mall.  A place built to mimic a quaint, small-town main street experience.  Lots of foot traffic and window shopping.  I noticed they had several kiosks/carts with folks selling jewelry, sunglasses, etc.  One of these carts was vacant and located almost right next to a kids play area and of course this got me to thinking about renting one of these carts and putting a bunch of bulk vending machines there.

However, it gets to be 110 degrees and hotter here in the summer time.  I know candy won't stand up to this...any thoughts on gumballs?  Will capsules cooped up in a machine start to melt?  Will superballs get gooey?  Is it worth my time researching what the rent on a site like this would be?

I do mostly charity, but I'd research it and look for ways to build your machines a shelter so they were not hit by most of the sunlight. Also, I'd use a very light brown paint if possible--so it hides dirt from being outside, but is still light enough to not attract heat.

Cavity, they were covered.  It wasn't an umbrella, but similar in concept.  The machines wouldn't be in direct sunlight constantly, but depending upon location could be at certain times of the day. The ambient air temperature during the summer will still be in the 100-110 range pretty frequently.  If the machines, and the gum and toys in them can withstand this without degradation, I may look into it further.

I guess I'd also have to worry about someone burning themselves on the machine, too.

Proceed with caution and don't invest a whole lot in this venture. I am at 9-10 degrees from the equator and I can tell you superballs ooze out some jizz when in indirect sunlight at 85-95 degrees. Anything other than hard-pan candy has a bit of a problem. Capsules seem to be ok and not explode, so don't worry about that. I would ask the manager of the space to test out a couple of selections/machines before I committed to anything long term.
