b0curry25
Route Description... The route I'm interested in consists of three high rise condo complexes and 2 office buildings both are in great areas. The condos are equipped with two pop and one snack machine at each location. Also, there are pop machines at 2 different pool locations (seasonal). One office building has two snack machines and the other has a pop machine. The condos are serviced once a week maybe twice during summer months and the office buildings every other week. According to the records weekly collections are around $1100-1500wk dependant on time of year. 2009 gross was 63K but they said it can range from 60-75K. The office building with the two snack machines has a 5 yr contract and no commission. The remaining locations don’t have contracts and no commission. They are asking 50k for the route. Experience during the walk through.. At the first office building there are two AP double coil snack machines located in the break room, they are in excellent condition. The second office building has a pop machine on the ground level, the Machine is in great condition. From a marketing stand point the machine is located in a horrible location, there’s not a lot of foot traffic on the ground floor. After that we serviced the condo locations. The top performing condo location is located right next to the maintenance and leasing offices. I spoke briefly to the maintenance workers they said they use the machines all the time. Also, while we were there the assistant manager wanted to know who he should call about getting the machines updated. The machines at this location are not in good condition at all. There was a lot of dust and dirt around the compressor of the pop machines. The snack machines had mouse traps at the bottom of them and the coin mech. was taped in place. At the second complex the machines are located on the first floor next to the residence mailboxes and elevators. These machines are not in as bad condition as the first but signs of wear are evident. The third complex machines are located on the ground floor. I can’t imagine these machines doing to well there not in any flow of traffic outside of the maintenance workers. The condition of the machines are mediocre at best. How would you value this route? I was thinking 30k no more than 35k
WillisNYC
When you went with the owner to service the route, how much did you collect at each stop? Also, how much product remained in the machines and how dated was it? (or not) How dated was the sodas? All good things to know/find out when evaluating a route.
