Hillbilly
Got another foreign coin today. I serviced my machine at the truckers lounge today and noticed an odd coin. It is a 25 Centavos coin from Brazil. 1994. So strange. Hillbilly
mission vending
I've got a whole jar full of foreign coins from places like, Mexico, France, Uraguay, Brazil, Spain and Saudi Arabia to name a few. I've been saving them for when I sell out and retire and plan to travel the world spending them.

sbishop
Tokens from video game rooms, foreign coins, cardboard circles from the Pizza boxes... It's part of the business. Although I have run into a rash of Silver Quarters! I guess that makes up for it. Keep opening those piggy banks!
agrantha
sbishop How can you tell if the quarters are silver? Thanks
Hillbilly
They usually sound different when jingling the coins or when dropped on the table or counter. Also look through them. The silver ones are 1964 or older.(dimes and quarters). Hillbilly

You can pick up a cheap one from a coin store for about $2 and listen for the difference.
mission vending
It's a very distinct sound, when dumping your coins into a bag or counting them you will hear the difference. As suggested go get one at a coin shop and mix it in a bag and listen.
