dperry
I have a number of A&A's PO89's and I just recently purchased a few bags of the 1in self vending sports balls to be used in those machines. I noticed that the balls are quite large, prolly about 35mm, much larger than the 27mm or 32mm that you normally see for bouncy balls. Well, I was a little concerned that they may be too big to vend in those machines, and I think I was right. They will pass through the wheel ok, but they get stuck in the chute. Is anybody else having this issue?
Jax Snacks
You need a capsule wheel to vend them. They are best used in a junk mix however. Also good to add some puzzle balls and smile balls. Jax
dperry
The wheel is not the problem. It goes past the wheel and gets stuck in the bend in the chute.
antoniocinisi
a location once made me change these out because they are very cheap and break in half.as was mentioned these are best in a mystery mix.
Jax Snacks
The wheel is not the problem. It goes past the wheel and gets stuck in the bend in the chute. That's wierd! Never head that one before, but I don't have A&A machines either and have never had that problem. Jax
dperry
Update: I have these sports balls in a Mexican restaruant and they sold out. Restocked them the next cycle and they sold out yet again. Wish I had the soccer balls during the recent soccer frenzy. Had to use them in a NW super 60 tho. The vista wouldn't vend them. will.vend
I use the self vend mix that cardinal sells, I have never had a problem with them getting stuck in the chute of my po89's. In fact it is one of my best sellers at 50 cents, I know some of you all said use them as a filler for a mystery mix but I think your losing money. The head filled with this colorful mix is eyecatching, maybe that's why it sells so good for me. I made a display that says "Toy Box" it has the choking hazard warning right below the header. sherlock
Have you checked. the metal plate at the front of the chute? Is it shaped correctly -- or can it be bent in a way to give you more room? How many PO89's have you tried the mix on? I ask because I had regular 1.1" acorns getting caught on one of my PO89's a few months back. I took a look at that face-plate I mentioned above and the elbow was a little off (not bent as much as it should be). I bent it into the proper shape and no more problems. Even if it looks good on the machine you're using -- try bending the elbow enough to give you room. It should be easy to try since it's removable. dperry
Have you checked. the metal plate at the front of the chute? That actually is the first thing I tried. If you bend it too much, it won't slide into it's slot. It's a tricky little thing. I'll have to try it with some other vistas and po89's.
