Vendo Basic V407 is too generous, please help.

I placed a Vendo Basic V407 today and ran into the following problem;  when a selection is made it will dispense 2 sodas when the motor is on the closest notches and then after you can press any selection and get free product continuously.  I moved this machine from a location that was outdoors with an awning, removed coin mech and blew dust from unit as it would not dispense coin properly, checked lenses on validator and then it quit working (BA30B).  I will replace coin mech and validator tomorrow, will this solve the issue or is there something else I should be looking at.
