jamesjmcgough
Skittles and Mike and Ikes have spoilage factors. The spoilage factor will have to be figured into your eventual vend count. Down here in C.A., our spoilage factor for anything other than hard-pan is off the wall. I have resigned to packaging 1" gumballs in capsules and found even with the addititional cost, our vend cost is lower, due to reduction in spoilage. Live and learn, learn and adjust. Your mileage may vary.

wlw723
by cutting my pmm back to 7 per vend instead of 11 ive increased profit per bag substantially about $8.30 more per bag which covers cost of pmm and have no complaints in new locations about 7 pmm had a little trouble with machines that were vending 11 , but explained cost of candy price increases and they seem to be ok with it now (took about a month) BUT PMM HAVE GONE UP ALMOST 90 CENTS A BAG HERE RECENTLY sorry for caps lol
West Coast Vend LLC
Do you think it may come to maybe vending Peanut m&m's at 50c instead of 25c. I found that customers start getting annoyed when the vended amounts gets below 9 pieces on PMM's. It seems it's the hand full that they are expecting but don't get that bothers customers the most. If they got 12-14 on a 50c vend they would probably be thrilled and be good repeat customers. I have not tried it yet but if the prices keep going up, we will all be forced to stop selling PMM's or charge 50c. Gary
The Mage
I have been thinking about this. In the next few year I believe that 50¢ vends are going to start becoming the norm for most candy. I have thought of starting to use a 50¢ mech, and simply putting out a sign that says "LARGER VEND!" while giving a little less then double what I would have given for a quarter. Personally I don't think it would cost me a single sale, but if it did cost any less then 50% of the sales, I would still be ahead. I think some here are vending for 50¢ already. Anyway, here is a link to vending measurements for the most popular candy: http://vendiscuss.com/forum/index.php?topic=3595.
wlw723
as long as i can stay above 10.00 a bag profit pmm a quarter vend is fine I dont want to give any less than 7 per vend to me that seems about as low as you would want to go I had a couple complainers about 7 when cut back placed machines but the machines still empty out
