joebob051977
I recently read a post that said that Double Bubble (blue box) now tastes better than it used to, even better than Bubble King. Is there any truth to this? Sure hope so, $18.00 a box from Sam's is the best deal around for gumballs. I'd switched to Bubble King since it tasted better, and most of my locations are breakrooms. dperry
I think it was me who said it tastes better. I have to say that I have purchased 3 more cases from my local Sams. I've only gone through 2 of the cases so far, but I have found that they are really quite good. Maybe it's the time of year, and they aren't being left out in the freezing cold, or maybe somebody took notice to what we were saying and actually did something about it. fogcity
I read somewhere (maybe here?) that Nerd Gumballs were good along with Bleep Candy... both by Double Bubble. Has anyone tried these?
joebob051977
I like to avoid ordering GB's if at all possible. I know Sam's only carries Double Bubble which has bothered me since there were lots of better tasting choices out there.
joebob051977
I just bought DB in the Blue Box and I will admit that they are a lot better than they used to be. I think it would be fair to compare them to Bubble King now.
tooldini
I am curious about this since I can get them cheap, but since I have switched to nerd gumballs it will be hard. Nerds are so clean in my machines they don't chip and are colored very bright which I think may attracted attention more than dull gumballs. mainor5251
I been meaning to try the nerd gumballs before I order a case but haven't been able to bring myself to put a quarter in a competitor's machine yet. :-\
tooldini
I drop quarters in other machines all the time check the competition and try there machines. lots of crap products and machines out there. So far nerds have been my wifes favorite over many. So thats what I got and sales went up alot at one location I switched from dubble bubble. Went up about 10.00 a month
mainor5251
Guess I will force my hand when I service my seafood restaurant location in 3 weeks, I have a triple there and the compition has a double with nerd gumballs and chicle tabs. Been meaning to find out more info on who owns machines so I could inquire about purchasing his or her route.
tooldini
I think plenty of people on here have done that. I have ran across 2 empty or abdoned machines. next week I am asking one location about an empty double that was left in his restaurant. Been about 2 months so if he still has it I may be able to get it maybe even free
antoniocinisi
2 months might be a short time to consider a machine abondoned.
will.vend
yes 2 months is a short time. leave the machines alone, think of it as if someone was looking at your machines the same way. I have some slow accounts that get worked every 3 to 4 months, and nothing chaps my butt more than someone taking my machines andy
tooldini
No you guys the machine had been empty in his restaurant for a long time, He took it in the back room since he had never seen it serviced it. It was 2 months ago at least he took it too the back room. So it had been much longer that it had been setting empty in the restaurant. I am gonna ask him about it next month when I service my machine. This was a double head was completely empty and he said he never seen anyone service it

joebob051977
There is a proper way to go about acquiring abandoned machines. You are supposed to take them to the police station and after so long of not being claimed, then they will be yours without worry of being held liable for theft. tooldini
Good idea,, I can do that if the restaurant owner gives it too me. I can take to the Police station in town see what they say. Just don't understand why people just leave machines.

The Mage
Now how does that song go? Sunshine Lollipops and Dead people, Call the cops Before he starts stinking up the neighborhood. Helps if you can fit the words into the song: (Don't watch too long, you will go insane.)
