spdydre
I have a location with a single priced can machine and the owner is asking if I can sell water. He said its not necessary but if I could they would like it. Only thing is they dont want bottle water or any bottles at all in the shop. What are my options here? Quarter Master
There are places that make canned water. I don't know what part of the country you are in,but here's a list of companies all around that may help. Poplady1
What is the model of your machine? On most single priced machines you can adjust the size of each column. You can adjust one to a 16oz bottled water which you can sell at can pricing. You just have to fiddle with the shims...it should be in your manual. Big Mike
I have a location with a single priced can machine and the owner is asking if I can sell water. He said its not necessary but if I could they would like it. Only thing is they dont want bottle water or any bottles at all in the shop. What are my options here? Do these people TRY and think up the stupidest questions and requests they can throw at you? The one option you may have is buy a water cooler and sell them the big bottles. There is a successful vendor here that does that. Mike

whaletail116
Weird that they would have a problem with the bottles while not minding the cans. Canned water just doesn't feel right. It sounds like they're wanting a water fountain. A very strange request to say the least.
soco
Why not seltzer water in cans? Around here the brand is Polar and you can get it plain or lime or lemon or... I have an a/c that likes cranberry lime seltzer. Mine's priced @ $0.60 vs. the soda @ $0.75. I've also placed a water cooler at an a/c and have the big bottle water delivered as a 3rd party set up by Poland Springs. They drop the bottles on a scheduled basis at the a/c and invoice me and I invoice the a/c.
mxer518
That is one of the weirdest things I have heard all week, how could they possibly not want water in bottles, my best guess is they think the price will be inflated and are to cheap to pay what it costs, i have not had any accounts for a few years that had cans priced at .65 cents. snack dude
The last time I drank water out of a can was in the military over 30 years ago. Talk about nasty tasting. I havent drank water out of a can since.
lurtsman
I believe the brand is Mendota. They do sparkling water in a can. The university here sells it, priced the same as cans of pop.
whaletail116
Must not be too popular. I've never seen a single can during my four years on campus.
sprint54fan
If its a good location that makes some decent money Id say buy a water cooler. We have a location that has 7 branchs and we do snack, soda, bulk at each location. Well one day I was approached about a water cooler so I checked into it.. We went to Lowes and picked up a water cooler and buy our bottles from a local Kinetco dealer. We get dealer cost on the bottles and we make a killing.. well since started doing 1 location.. we doo all 7 now with coolers.. we charge them a monthly cooler rent fee, and give them a upcharge on the bottles of water and cups..
