droyce
Is anyone vending a m&m/pmm mix and if so how much are you vending for a quarter? How is it selling? Thanks Dave
kai1836
I tried mm and rp once. It didn't sell very well. Mixing pmm/mm would be a good way to get rid of mm though.
joebob051977
Perhaps I am being a little too sensitive on this, as it is an issue in my household. My wife used to be allergic to nuts as a child. She's no longer is allergic to nuts, but has gotten sick from them so often that she won' t eat them. Being a sensitve and caring husband who listens to my wife's ideas, I like offer at least 1 product that isn't nut based. Granted someone who severely allergic to nuts shouldn't use a vending machine. But, it is nice to offer something that isn't nutty.
dperry
I had one location where I had RP's. When I went to service it, I didn't have enough RP's to add to it, so I put in plain M&M's instead, so they mixed with what was left of the RP's. The next time I services, it was empty. They sold very well for me. I'd do it again if I could ever find RP's again.
JEREMYTINA
Doesn't your Sam's carry RP? They have a pallet of them on the floor at ours.
kickinkandy
Hello, I'm still new at vending (please be gentle with me I want to verify that the pmm abbreviation is actually M&M peanut. Yes? If so, I am curious as to how you would set the barrel to vend, since you would have 2 entirely different sized candies. I love the idea of mixing RP and MM (and excited to hear that they have done well at some locations.) but how would you label the canister? Thanks, Barbara
Hillbilly
Yes, That is what it stands for. Just set it for how many MM's you want and the RP's will just fill in the cracks. The amount of candy will still be about the same. You are just mixing it. That's a good question on the label. What I do most of the time is either print one on the computer or cut it out of the package the candy comes in. Then I run them through a lamination machine. If you do that you could put use both labels and some card stock in the middle that says "Sweet Mix" or something like that. If your using a triple with the smaller windows you could still do it but they would have to be much smaller.
Hillbilly
Thought of a few more things. I should say I do it that way because I don't like stickers on the machines. Too hard to deal with when you change product. I just laminate them, cut to fit and put in the front of the machine and pour product in. The product keeps them in the right position. You can probably contact sweetstopvending(a member here) and they can design the labels for you. They have a website also. Hillbilly
droyce
Hillbilly..Those little cheap glue dots you can get at office depot or walmart work good for mounting inside the canister. They can be removed with messing up the label or canister
JEREMYTINA
When you mentioned using the label from the candy package, it reminded me of watching the vendstar sales videos. Even their big time customers were shown servicing their machines with what looked like a half a bag of skittles taped to the front of machines. I just thought that was hilarious, because if you are selling a product, and asking people to invest thousands, you think you would want to show that product in the best light possible...a little off topic, but I absolutely do not like crappy labels on my machines. I am with Hillbilly on the whole lamination deal, and placing them inside the machine with one small piece of scotch tape at the top. This way if the product sells down it won't fall over. Labels that are on the outside get trashed too easy.
Rick Falcon
I'm not mixing m&m/pmm because some people are sensitive to food allergies. I could tell you that PMM sell better than the plain,I"am giving 7 pieces of PMM. for a quarter Can anyone tell me where I could find RP's my local Sam's doesn't carry them? Thanks, Good Luck and Good Selling!
