fogcity
Hey Hillbilly --- Sounds Great !!! So what wheel are you using in the NW 80's to vend the ping pong balls? I understand they're like 40mm (1.57 inches) in diameter... Fogcity
Iolaus
Awesome, Hillbilly! You've got a good week lined up. Where are you buying ping pong balls and how is your cost on them?
Hillbilly
I got this first batch at Sam's. Tax and shipping brings it to 26.84 for 144. For a cost per vend of .1864 each. I am vending them for .50 cents. The cheapest place I've found them is at Rhode Island Novelty. They are .10 each plus freight. As for the wheel, I ordered a special ping pong wheel from Northwestern. It is a 2" capsule wheel with a special piece of tin that fits over it with round holes in it to fit the ping pong balls. All you really need is the metal piece. If anyone needs the part # just let me know. Uses capsule brush housing too. Hillbilly
adkarr24
I see that you are vending Sweet Tarts. Is that something you have vended before? If so, have they done well? Also, where did you buy bulk Sweet Tarts from? Thanks for the info!
joebob051977
It sounds like you have some nice locations. Did you self-locate or use a locator?
Hillbilly
I ordered the sweet tarts from Sam's. It will be my first time using them. I wanted a candy that would hold up to the heat of summer. All of my locations are self located. I have not used a locator. I am in sales at my regular job and have no reservations about doing a cold call. People ( I Think ) really want to help other people. It's really easy for me to talk to others. And a rejection doesn't bother me in the least bit.

droyce
I agree with agrantha. Start a locating company..maybe then I could get some results from a locator!!

Hillbilly
I just had to give an update on a couple of these locations. To begin with, I switched machines at the construction co and the roof truss plant. At the roof truss plant, I noticed they were almost out of PMM(I didn't put a whole bag in). The HT were almost gone too.(Whole bag) When I opened up the machine there was $3.25 in the coin trays. I thought I got ripped off somehow. Then I noticed all the quarters underneath the trays. Another $ 14.75 All in one week. Total $18.00 Then at the construction co the guy I see says"We need more gumballs" I said is it giving out more than it should? He said no. $4.75 in PMM and $ 28.25 in gumballs.(2 for .25).(I hadn't filled it all the way up either) One week total $33.00 I had this machine in the break room and the guy I see there moved it to where the construction workers gather in the morning before they head out to the job site. They fill their pockets with gumballs. I gave him a bunch of free ones. Like Tbird says I Love Bulk Vending Hillbilly

coldsmoke
is that all i need is the wheel no extra parts?
will.vend
The brush housing with a regular gumball wheel will most likely work but you need to ask your sales rep to be sure.
Quarter Master
Coldsmoke, This is what a double gumball (2 for 1) wheel looks like. You can use your standard gumball or capsule brush housing with it.
